Who are we? Flying Squirrel Sports is the premier destination for entertainment seekers of all ages! Established in 2015 by two twin brothers dedicated to pioneering both fun and safety, we are the world’s first largest indoor luxury trampoline park. We offer state-of-the-art equipment, world-class customer service, and an experience designed just for you, whether you’re a watchful guardian or rambunctious teenager. We can’t wait for you to come fly with us!

What sets us apart? With the rapid expansion of the trampoline park industry, so too have climbed the number of injuries sustained by patrons when they lose control and land on trampoline pads that overlay the steel frames. As a solution to this problem, we have developed and patented the world’s only shock attenuating trampoline park structure. The design includes trampoline shock absorbing suspension mounts, a connection system with a pivoting horizontal bed rail and a German gas shock system incorporated directly into the trampoline framework was established to fulfill the need in the industry to create a safer trampoline park. We are unwaiveringly dedicated to quality and strive to keep our facilities spotless. At the end of each day, we wipe down every inch of our trampolines with an anti-microbial solution. We also have Air Traffic Controllers on every trampoline court to supervise the soaring action.

What’s in it for me? We understand that parents and teachers are looking for an exciting place to take their children – a place that will inspire kids to break away from their video games, experience the real-life thrill of flying through the air, and get hours of exercise while doing it. Not only is Flying Squirrel a top choice for making lasting memories, but we’re also the top birthday places in the area. Regardless of the age, our indoor trampoline park and fun center are perfect for birthday parties, group events, and field trips.

What’s there to do? Whether you’re a participant or a spectator, there’s something for everyone here. Jump on our free WiFi and relax in our luxurious lounge and massage chairs or take advantage of the fast-paced fun that only a trampoline can provide. Among these activities are Dunk Hoops, where any player can dunk like a pro, Ninja Courses, Climbing walls, Battle Beams, Slack Lines, Parkour Parks, Rope Swings, Foam Pits, Tumble Tracks, Stunt Jump Air Bags, Dodgeball, and Freestyle Courts which takes the traditional fun and elevates it to a sport unlike any other. We also house a delicious cafe in each park to break for lunch or fuel up for another round! With a menu includes pizzas, wraps, and so much more, there is truly something for everyone.

Final thoughts: We promise we will soar to the occasion every time. We specialize in smiles, and our goal is to add you to the list of satisfied family members. Come experience the ultimate adrenaline rush for people of all ages! Reserve your group today! Groups@FlyingSquirrelSports.com

For an amazing activity!

Altitude Gym is the biggest climbing center in the area! With two locations, one in Gatineau and the other in Kanata, Altitude Gym offers a complete and unusual range of activities for all age groups of all levels. Climber, athlete, or other, experienced or not, everyone will be challenged to match their skills and learn about the wonderful sport of climbing. To maximize your experience, you can choose from five different group packages offered in both centers. Challenge Altitude, Forma-Grimpe, Forma-Bloc, Clip ‘N Climb theme park, and Ninja Warrior theme park!

For a diversified activity, we offer the Challenge Altitude The Challenge Altitude takes the form of a friendly competition. The participants, divided into groups of 10 to 14 people, move from station to station to meet challenges and collect points at each event. The Challenge Altitude allows you to discover the various spheres of climbing while having fun!

For an activity focused more on training, two options are available: The Forma-Bloc and Forma-Grimpe

The Forma-Bloc is an activity that teaches climbing effectively. We learn positioning, names and specificity of different climbing holds, terminology of movements, and you climb, and climb, and climb! This activity is easily adaptable to participants’ age and abilities. The Forma-Grimpe is an activity that involves teaching the basics of top-rope. Climbing participants learn belaying and climbing techniques, tying the roping knot, and manipulating the required equipment and devices. We climb higher than Forma-Bloc, from 25ft. to 45ft. high. This activity can also be adapted to the participants’ age and abilities.

For more playful souls, choose the Clip ‘N Climb activity in Gatineau

Clip ‘N Climb is a unique climbing theme park! It is an exhilarating activity where each of the 34 climbing walls offers a different experience. Clip ‘N Climb is a healthy and fun challenge for everyone. A large mezzanine overlooking this section is also available for birthday parties, group meetings, business dinners, or any other idea you would have in mind.

For ultimate challenge enthusiasts, there is only one choice: The Ninja Warrior in Kanata

The Ninja Warrior offers a tour of three corridors whose combinations of dynamic movement work on strength, balance, endurance, and agility. This type of activity, which is inspired by the television show American Ninja Warrior, is one of the best complementary training to climbing. Timed or not, the Ninja Warrior allows you to challenge yourself and above all, offers a 100% adrenaline experience! Bottom line, Altitude Gym is the perfect place to live an ultimate experience where each activity brings you to discover another. You will leave craving more!

Experience the best visual art in the country at this top attraction in the heart of Canada’s capital. The panoramic views of the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill, the spacious galleries, gardens and courtyards make this award-winning architectural gem in itself worth the visit. A magnet for visitors since its inception, the Gallery’s National Collection features a full range of international masters and famous Canadians. Travel through time in our galleries, exploring the stories that shaped Canada from coast to coast. From the Indigenous peoples and the arrival of the first inhabitants to the Group of Seven and todays contemporaries, Canada’s Collection will introduce you to the people and their stories that helped build this country. The vast holdings reach beyond historical and contemporary Canadian art to include international Masters such as Rembrandt, Monet, van Gogh and Picasso. Student groups can dive deep into an area of study - politics, history, visual arts and more through onsite programming. Guided tours encourage students to explore Canadian life. Imagine early settlers building a life for themselves, what was precious to life, what was valued for personal enjoyment. Your students will learn to think critically and engage with original works of art in a dynamic way. In a Discovery Visit, students engage with works of art then apply what they’ve learned in a basic art-making project. Get hands-on with a workshop and learn new art-making skills in a studio activity using high-quality art supplies. New this year, students can get creative with a sketching session, developing their capacity for artistic expression while reinforcing looking skills. And because visitors have a range of abilities and learning styles, customizable programs such as Stimulating the Senses engage those visually impaired. Through depictions of the landscape, political quagmires and social agendas the subjects are made visually real when stepping back into the classroom. In fact, the National Gallery’s new – free- Webinar program makes it easy to connect your group’s experience with classroom learning as it virtually brings an educator to you before or after your group visit to further enliven the experience and area of study. Special exhibitions are featured seasonally in collaboration with the world’s premier galleries and art experts. Coming in 2019: Gauguin’s Portraits, Indigenous Quinquennial, and more. Did you know? Several public sculptures by world-famous artists are located outside on the grounds of the National Gallery of Canada. These include Louise Bourgeois’ Maman, Roxy Paine’s One Hundred Foot Line, and Michel de Broin’s Majestic. A self-guided “Buildings & Grounds” tour can be found at gallery.ca. Make a day of it and join us for lunch with group meals in the Cafeteria and much more than souvenirs in the Boutique. All of our school programs are also available in French. Visit the Gallery website at www.gallery.ca/visit/ schools to find the program that best suits your needs. Discover the remarkable stories that have shaped this country through visual art at the National Gallery of Canada. In Ottawa this fall? Attend the free Teacher’s Information evening on October 11, 2018.

The Ottawa School of Art The OSA is a leading centre for visual arts education and creative expression in the Ottawa region. CHILDREN COURSES Multimedia classes are offered for children aged 4 to 9 years. Throughout the three terms, students study and develop skills in all disciplines: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture, including clay. Individual lessons focus on different elements of art: colour, line, form etc. Major figures, trends, and periods in art history often serve as inspiration, and a trip to the National Gallery of Canada is part of most courses offered at our downtown location. TEEN COURSES The Ottawa School of Art also offers classes to older children aged 10-12, and teens, ages 13-18 years. Classes for youth develop skills and explore technique in a specific media. Focused studio work, an exploration of art history, and critical analysis of their own work, encourage students to develop personal expression and expand aesthetic awareness. All courses are taught by professional artist/educators. Young artists have the opportunity to celebrate their success through exhibition of their work.

Water cannons, face paint, pirate dancing, sword fights, costumes, pirate names, treasure maps, sunken treasure, and a great adventure all await your little pirates!

Pirate Field Trip Pirate Adventures is inspected and certified by Transport Canada

Interactive PirateTheatre Cruise Pirate Adventures offers a 75 minute interactive cruise on the historic Rideau Canal On shore, before the adventure, we will get everyone into their costumes (vest, sash, head band, face paint, and a pirate name). Once all the little pirates are ready to swashbuckle we start the immersion into the dramatic arts where our pirate re-enactors will engage the new crew in interactive story telling. As the story progresses the children will be drawn further into the world of early 1700’s piracy. They will learn pirate words, dances and salutes before seeking the treasure and engaging the evil Pirate Pete. In the end they will find their treasure and celebrate with the pirate limbo!
