For an amazing activity!
Altitude Gym is the biggest climbing center in the area! With two locations, one in Gatineau and the other in Kanata, Altitude Gym offers a complete and unusual range of activities for all age groups of all levels. Climber, athlete, or other, experienced or not, everyone will be challenged to match their skills and learn about the wonderful sport of climbing. To maximize your experience, you can choose from five different group packages offered in both centers. Challenge Altitude, Forma-Grimpe, Forma-Bloc, Clip ‘N Climb theme park, and Ninja Warrior theme park!
For a diversified activity, we offer the Challenge Altitude The Challenge Altitude takes the form of a friendly competition. The participants, divided into groups of 10 to 14 people, move from station to station to meet challenges and collect points at each event. The Challenge Altitude allows you to discover the various spheres of climbing while having fun!
For an activity focused more on training, two options are available: The Forma-Bloc and Forma-Grimpe
The Forma-Bloc is an activity that teaches climbing effectively. We learn positioning, names and specificity of different climbing holds, terminology of movements, and you climb, and climb, and climb! This activity is easily adaptable to participants’ age and abilities. The Forma-Grimpe is an activity that involves teaching the basics of top-rope. Climbing participants learn belaying and climbing techniques, tying the roping knot, and manipulating the required equipment and devices. We climb higher than Forma-Bloc, from 25ft. to 45ft. high. This activity can also be adapted to the participants’ age and abilities.
For more playful souls, choose the Clip ‘N Climb activity in Gatineau
Clip ‘N Climb is a unique climbing theme park! It is an exhilarating activity where each of the 34 climbing walls offers a different experience. Clip ‘N Climb is a healthy and fun challenge for everyone. A large mezzanine overlooking this section is also available for birthday parties, group meetings, business dinners, or any other idea you would have in mind.
For ultimate challenge enthusiasts, there is only one choice: The Ninja Warrior in Kanata
The Ninja Warrior offers a tour of three corridors whose combinations of dynamic movement work on strength, balance, endurance, and agility. This type of activity, which is inspired by the television show American Ninja Warrior, is one of the best complementary training to climbing. Timed or not, the Ninja Warrior allows you to challenge yourself and above all, offers a 100% adrenaline experience! Bottom line, Altitude Gym is the perfect place to live an ultimate experience where each activity brings you to discover another. You will leave craving more!

Throughout the three terms, students study and develop skills in all disciplines: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture, including clay. Individual lessons focus on different elements of art: colour, line, form etc. Major figures, trends, and periods in art history often serve as inspiration, and a trip to the National Gallery of Canada is part of most courses offered at our downtown location. The Ottawa School of Art also offers classes to older children aged 10 to 12, and teens, ages 13 to 18 years. Classes for youth develop skills and explore technique in a specific media. Low cost • Our activity is at a low cost to you. First, determine how many groups of 6 individuals your class(s) make up. Then, ensure you have at least one data-enabled smartphone per group. It’s $35 per 6-person group. • We don’t have student pricing. • Ex.: a class of 30 would make 5 groups, and only $175 for a school outing, including the teacher and other accompanying adults. Educational • Our scavenger hunts are very educational. Every stop presents historical and current information. Students will learn or better understand their city’s history through that of the buildings, places, and monuments you will see along the way. • Additionally, most stops present you with challenges. These include simple code-breaking, mathematics, and observation. You can have your students working together (teamwork) to solve these. Or you can assign different students to tackle different ones to ensure everyone participates. Flexible • There is no schedule to respect or reservations to make. Schedule your activity when it suits you, at the time that’s convenient for you. • When you take your time at each stop, a scavenger hunt can take up to 3:30-4:00 hours. However, if your groups compete against each other on time, they normally take 2 hours to complete. • So it’s up to you to pace your scavenger hunt with the time you have available. School Trips • Better yet, are you organizing a school trip to another city? We have scavenger hunts in over 12 cities. Some of them have 2 different hunts s available. • Add this activity to your trip for learning and lower your overall trip cost, as opposed to other activities which will cost over $20 per person. Plan it So what are you waiting for? Buy the # of scavenger hunts you needs and set up your team leaders before leaving, then enjoy your day! Contact us if you have any questions.

Zigazoom’s concept is original, structures made of wood and hundreds of toys designed to stimulate a child’s imagination. Here, children are safe and free to explore and play with the toys and costumes. We have a smaller enclosed baby area for children under two years, however, even the younger ones if accompanied by an adult, can play safely through the entire center. Our center is geared for children under the age of 10, or any who have an imagination and love role-play and dress-up! Teachers can equally enjoy exploring the center with their students, or relax at the ZigaCafé, where theycan be seen in all areas of the center.

Plan your next school trip to the Enrichment Studies Unit (ESU) at Queen’s University! For more than 30 years, the Enrichment Studies Unit at Queen’s University has connected students in grades 7-12 with challenging and inspiring academics alongside the dynamic learning and living environment of university life. Providing an inclusive and unmatched mix of opportunities, ESU makes an unmistakable difference: nurturing curiosity, fostering development, and enriching the potential of all students. ESU courses and residence living reflect and provide opportunities outside a student’s school community in the areas of: civics, leadership, science, social science, humanities, creative writing, health, guidance, and career education. Our experiential learning opportunities build on the Ontario Curriculum and align with the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Achieving Excellence document. ESU provides an inclusive environment where students envision their future and discover new ideas and areas of interest. Students return to school with renewed energy, an excitement for learning, and ideas for post-secondary and career planning. May programs for students in grades 7-8 and grades 9-12 are three days and three nights in length, and are excellent end-of-the-year school trips or enrichment excursions. Students take one 15 hour course of their choice during the three days, where they are challenged and motivated to explore and apply new knowledge in state-of-the-art labs and classrooms. Our small class sizes of 24-30 participants provide a great opportunity for students to experience unique learning, outside of a busy school schedule. All courses are instructed by Queen’s faculty, graduate students, and community professionals. Staying in residence allows students to experience an environment where they feel a sense of belonging, have opportunities to build resiliency, and feel safe and supported in an inclusive community. During the afternoons and evenings, students participate in activities where they meet new friends and discover new interests while exploring campus, as well as historic Kingston, Ontario. ESU program supervisors are Queen’s undergraduates who are mentors and give students an accurate depiction of university life and the many opportunities available. “My week at ESU has changed what I want to do with my life. I never knew there were so many options, and I discovered them all at ESU.” – ESU Student ESU is proud to have the “Stamp of a Great Camp” awarded by the Ontario Camps Association (OCA). Our programs have passed OCA’s rigorous two-year accreditation, and adhere to over 450 standards in addition to provincial and federal legislation and are evaluated regularly.
