Giovanna Dello Iacono: Where there isn’t wine, there is no love… The Greek writer Euripides has said it many years ago and us, here at Wine&Wedding Italy, decided to choose it as a claim for our 2016 communication campaign, with which we are getting ready to conquer the hearts of brides and grooms to be, who will choose Italy for their weddings and honeymoons.

The Sicilian businesswoman, standing for the important Faro Group organization, has been awarded with the 2015 Fidapa Women Award for her fantasy and the devotion to her beloved Sicily, where she realized fascinating venues like Donnacarmela wine resort, Radicepura and Pietradolce winery.

Abiti “sospesi” ed eterei che si elevano verso il cielo, “riportati” in terra dalle cromie: dal bianco della pietra di Noto al nero della pietra lavica dell’imponente Etna; una “palette” che passa dai Templi di Agrigento alle terracotte da scavo. Suggestioni della nostra terra che intrecciano natura e cultura e che raccontano l’architettura barocca in un’atmosfera carica di arte, storia e contaminazioni.

Alti vasi con Amaryllis Belladonna, profumate Tuberose, Dalie, foglie di Loto e Papiro si fondono con i cespugli di Ortensie e adornano le tavole del buffet. La tavola è un tripudio di colori: rose dai toni antichi, il grigio dell’Astrantia, Symphoricarpos, rami d’edera, uva, naturalmente, e tante candele; le ortensie e i nastri che racchiudono i tovaglioli donano un tocco di blu pavone. Un quadro affascinante che parla di bellezza e di eleganza. La giusta interpretazione per luoghi densi di “vissuto”, dove tutto è complice affinché si possa vivere uno splendido sogno”.

Prodotto elegante e raffinato, dal sapore unico, intenso e persistente. Ottimo servito fresco come aperitivo in abbinamento al Parmigiano Reggiano e a pesce affumicato.

Selected and rare virgin Marsala produced only in the best vintages, made from grillo grapes and aged for over ten years in ancient 300-litre casks. An elegant, refined product, whose uniquely intense flavour lingers on the palate. Excellent served chilled as an aperitif with Parmigiano Reggiano and smoked fish.

Spuma bianca di eccellente persistenza. Colore luminoso, giallo con evidenti riflessi verdognoli. Seducente il profumo che abbraccia sfumature di frutta dolce e leggermente matura (pere Decana) con accenni di clorofilla e vaniglia. Il suo carattere vibrante ﾃｨ sostenuto senza alcun compromesso da una freschezza che ne mantiene la persistenza.

The mousse is white and decidedly persistent. The colour is bright and yellow with marked greenish tinges. The bouquet is enticing, embracing nuances of sweet ripe fruit (Decana pears) along with hints of chlorophyll and vanilla. Its vibrant character is sustained without the least compromise by a freshness that preserves its persistence.

Al naso è un trionfo di confettura di more e mirtilli con note di cuoio e liquirizia. In bocca è potente e suadente.

A wine with character and the typical might of Sagrantino, stunning for its velvety harmony achieved with careful supervision of grapes in the vineyard and in the cellar, followed by lengthy aging in large wood, preferred to barriques. The nose is a triumph of blackberry and blueberry jam with hints of leather and liquorice, followed by a powerful and persuasive palate.

Giallo paglierino. Si presenta al naso con sentori di fiori gialli, frutta bianca e spezie dolci. All’assaggio è intenso; nonostante la morbidezza sostenuta da componente alcolica, è nel complesso orientato sulle durezze: buona acidità e sapidità che, dall’ingresso in bocca, sconfinano in un finale un po’ amarognolo.

Straw yellow hues that offer nose hinting at yellow blossom, white-fleshed fruit and sweet spices. The flavour is intense and despite plushness sustained by the alcohol note, the overall feel is hard. Good acidity and a tanginess at palate attack break into a slightly tart finish.

Il sapore in bocca è asciutto, caldo, ben equilibrato nella sua austerità, ampio e persistente.

This Brunello di Montalcino takes its name from the “La Casa” vineyard, spreading out the North of Montalcino Region. It is a ruby red wine, with a penetrating bouquet, very wide and varied, with berries, spices and vanilla reminiscences. At the palate it is dry, warm, well balanced on its severity, wide and persistent.

Una vinificazione che punta a trasportare l’unicità del terroir nel bicchiere.

Venissa is the result of a recovery of the Dorona grape and represents a piece of Venetian history. Venissa is produced by Desiderio Bisol and Roberto Cipresso, a white winemaker and a red winemaker who bottle a white that has macerated like a mighty red. A winemaking process that aims to convey the uniqueness of the terroir in the glass.
