MEMBERS OF EPSILON PHI SPENDING THE SPRING ABROAD

DANNIELLE GARCIA Salamanca, Spain “My favorite part of my semester abroad was definitely getting to emerge in a whole other culture, exploring my roots, and traveling with nothing holding me down. The people have been beyond what I expected. I’ve met some friends that I know will one day walk at my wedding!”

SOPHIA MASONE Bologna, Italy “My favorite part of my semester abroad was the hands on opportunity to experience new cultures all over Europe and even Africa. I had the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and learn more than I could ever learn from a classroom. Italy is truly my home away from home and a place I will always cherish!” SOPHIE O’ROURKE London, UK “I think my favorite part was that every weekend I had the opportunity to go to a completely foreign city and not have any sort of agenda at all. It was very new to me and it was such a liberating experience. I learned how to live in the moment!”

Hey y’all! The spring semester has been so eventful for Epsilon Phi! We started off the semester by sending seven of our officers to Delta Gamma Institute in Columbus, Ohio. There, they learned more about their positions and about different leadership styles. In March, we celebrated our 30th Anniversary on Loyola’s campus and our Founder’s day! Alumnae came down from all over the country to help us celebrate. We started off the weekend on a Friday with a crawfish boil. On Saturday, we celebrated Founder’s Day at the Magnolia Mansion and on Saturday evening the alumnae enjoyed an after party at The Maison. Also held in March was our Professors dinner. Each woman invited a professor to dine with her while we awarded women for their academic achievements. Our final event of the semester was AnchorSlam! We held a 3v3 basketball tournament in Loyola’s Sports Complex. We had Cane’s for everyone and raffle prizes. All proceeds went to our philanthropy, Service for Sight! This semester has been eventful to say the least! We are looking forward to summer break and coming back in the fall to “do good”! ITB, Shea Hermann
