Connecting from the inside out By changing the focus off of yourself and onto others and adding value to them, can really transform the way you recruit. Connecting is about the person you’re communicating with, not about yourself. Being curious and excited, finding common ground, capturing people’s interest, inspiring them and being authentic are simple skills to begin with when connecting with your potential recruit.
Connecting One-on-One
Know what they value by being a good listener when you are with them. Listen 80%, talk 20% Find out why they value those things by asking open-ended questions Ask about them; get curious about what drives them, what’s important to them, what they want to change in their life Help them to see how your business can support what they want
Ask Open Ended Questions:
Family - Tell me about your family Occupation - Are you working outside your home? What do you do? Recreation - What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies? Memory Making - What do you and your family enjoy doing together? Keep in mind these questions that build in prospect’s minds as you connect:
Why is Demarle at Home different than other companies? How can I make this work into my family life? What would I do with extra income I earn? What is the value of investing in this opportunity? How can I take the next step to a new flexi-life?
CREATE A LIFE YOU L VE
How do I generate leads? OUT AND ABOUT
Everywhere, every day - Be deliberate about getting out and being curious Use these conversation starters: 1. Do you like to cook? 2. What’s your most stressful part of being in the kitchen? 3. Do you work outside of the home or what fills your time? Talk with moms while waiting for kids at ball fields, parks, playgrounds, local events, etc. Have catalogs and business cards with you at all times
On the phone
Begin building your prospect list - think of people in your life now and keep adding as you meet others. It all begins with a conversation! Ask about them, their family, and how this business could impact their life. Follow up is key - stay in touch because they may not be ready just yet.
At the Party
Plant the seed with your Host first! “Carrie, I like to arrive a little early because all of my Hosts love to learn more about the business before they actually see the Cooking Party. I’ll be there around…” Plant the seeds during the party - share your “Why” and what a positive impact this opportunity has had on you. Use your Presentation Cards for more tips. Full service checkout - you want to offer the business opportunity as well as booking opportunity to each guest at checkout - “Connie, I really enjoyed having you at the party tonight, your love for the product and your fabulous questions really made me curious. I think you would be fantastic at this… how would you feel having a side business that would bring in additional income? I’d love to get together and explore the possibilities with you.
Show-N-Go
For those who haven’t seen the product or are resistant to hosting you can offer them a sneak preview. Bring something already made or bake a quick muffin mix. A Show-N-Go normally takes 20 minutes. Ask your potential prospect to invite a few friends to join you if they want!
