The Akira™ system uses a concise palette of complementary colours. A wider range of colours is available for large volume orders, and is available in consultation.
Kiwi Green
The saturated yellow-green Kiwi Green looks good on yellowish authentic woodgrain finishes. The texture ST9 Smooth Touch Matt finish gives the entire palette a matt feel.
Onyx Grey
A warm dark grey, Onyx Grey resembles the colour of concrete, adding a touch of modernity. It looks stunning when combined with woodgrain patterns, especially those with added authenticity.
A grey-blue colour that, due to its muted character, creates a harmonious combination with natural-modern wood types with grey content. The texture ST9 Smooth Touch Matt gives the palette a naturally matt feel.
Vicenza Oak
Vicenza Oak offers an alternative to existing classical oaks. An elegant version of a rift cut oak with a striking woodgrain structure, its subtle colour play and light grey undertones give the decor a very modern appearance.
Concrete Grey
This decor resembles a slightly undercooled concrete surface, which looks very authentic on large surfaces. The texture ST9 Smooth Touch Matt creates the matching cool matt feel.
Basalt Grey
Basalt Grey is deep, modern colour inspired by natural basalt stone, with a highly durable, soft-sheen smooth finish.
Whatever you choose, we manufacture your Akira™ products right here in the UK. We stand by the quality, durability and manufacturing processes of our entire Akira™ range. The system is designed for heavy educational use and we have carefully selected our materials and finishes to optimise the expected lifetime of your investment.
All Akira™ frames are guaranteed for 25 years*
This guarantee covers the structural frame and its welds under normal use in heavy educational environments.
*Exclusions – the list of exclusions on this guarantee is not exhaustive, but contains non-structural elements of the Akira™ frame; such as the paint finish, castors, and fixings. The guarantee does not cover mis-use of the product, nor use outside of the intended scope of use (i.e. within indoor learning spaces).
The Akira™ system is modular by design. This modularity, coupled with a 25-year frame guarantee, gives Akira™ products an expected product lifetime which extends beyond many other systems available to schools, colleges and universities. As individual components reach the end of their lifetime, and an aesthetic change is desired, or technological advancements demand an update to power supplies, each component of the system (worktop, panels, shelves, power) can be updated to continue the life of the products.
