Aug-O

Denison has a strong commitment to our international community, which includes students and faculty who are foreign nationals, U.S. citizens who have international experience through work or family connections, and U.S. nationals who identify themselves as global citizens. As a community, we take seriously the challenges associated with learning to live, work, learn, and create in a world that is wonderfully diverse and increasingly interdependent.

New Denisonians coming from abroad will be able to arrive on campus a few days before the Pre Orientation or Aug-O programming begins. The Center for Global Programs staff will help students settle into their residence halls, open bank accounts, apply for mobile phone services, explore campus, and learn about the Granville and Columbus communities. Our student Global Ambassadors will meet you at the John Glenn International Airport (CMH) Welcome Center and assist you with making your way to campus.

Students coming from abroad have a few options for how they would like to begin their Denison experience, and for each one they will be able to move in a couple of days early.

1. Participate in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program from August 16 19, 2023. International arrival for this program is August 14 and 15, 2023.

2. Apply for one of Denison s Pre Orientation programs taking place from August 20 23, 2023. International arrival for the Pre Orientation participants is August 16 and 17, 2023.

3. Students not participating in the EAP program or a Denison Pre Orientation program should plan to arrive on campus on August 21 or 22, 2023.
