Great American Cleanup

Each year, GAC mobilizes more than 2,000 Dentonites to improve the beauty and health of the Denton community. Denton’s 35th Annual GAC begins with volunteers cleaning assigned locations citywide, followed by a Volunteer Appreciation Party. Free lunch for volunteers will be provided along with music, educational activity booths, kids’ bounce houses, contest prizes, and more!

Denton Redbud Festival

Celebrate Earth Day at KDB’s 28th Annual Denton Redbud Festival. This year’s festival features dozens of vendors with plant sales, home products, and handmade gifts, and free environmental education workshops. Free trees are available for Denton residents who complete a 30-minute tree care class. Free, family-friendly activities include yoga, kids’ bounce houses, face painting, as well as a tree-themed story time for young children and their caregivers, hosted by the Denton Public Library. The popular Reuse Runway Show returns for its eighth year displaying vibrant designs made from trash and reused materials, hosted by Thistle Creative Reuse Denton.

Honey Run

Celebrate World Bee Day by joining us for the 8th Annual Honey Run on May 20 at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center. Register to run or walk the 5K, 10K, or 1 mile. Free shirts will be available for registered runners.
