ον Ιούνιο 1997 μια ιδέα ετών έγινε πραγματικότητα, το περιοδικό μας έκανε την εμφάνισή του ως το 1ο gay free press στην Ελλάδα με την μορφή ενός lifestyle gay έντυπου με ενσωματωμένο οδηγό Αθήνας & Θεσσαλονίκης. Άλλωστε, το “lifestyle” κυριαρχούσε παντού εκείνη την εποχή και το πρωτοπόρο στο είδος του περιοδικό μας δεν θα μπορούσε να μην ακολουθήσει.

n June 1997 an idea I had for years became true, our magazine deputed as the first gay free press in Greece in the form of a lifestyle gay publication with a guide of Athens and Thessaloniki. Besides, â&#x20AC;&#x153;lifestyleâ&#x20AC;? was dominant back then and our pioneering in its kind magazine could only follow this trend. In its pages, it hosted interviews with major names of the international scene such as Kylie Minogue, Jimmy Somerville and others including many Greek celebrities. Shortly after its depute, our magazine was evolved into a bilingual travel book, with details about Greece and Cyprus, it remains the favourite Greek gay magazine for more than 16 years(!!!) and an important tool for a traveller, since it includes the most up-to-date information about Greece, Cyprus and other destinations abroad. Στην Κάλυμνο, το μικρό αυτό νησί που βρίσκεται ανάμεσα στην Κω και στη Λέρο, η αναρρίχηση βράχου αποτελεί μια εμπειρία που μπορούμε να βιώσουμε καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του χρόνου. Ο Σεπτέμβριος, μάλιστα, θεωρείται ένας από τους ιδανικότερους μήνες, καθώς συνδυάζει τις κατάλληλες καιρικές συνθήκες για αναρρίχηση με την ευχάριστη θερμοκρασία της θάλασσας για κολύμβηση και θαλάσσια σπορ.

λα ξεκίνησαν πριν από περίπου 12 χρόνια, όταν ένας Ιταλός αναρριχητής κάνοντας διακοπές στο νησί ανακάλυψε το ενδιαφέρον που παρουσιάζουν οι βράχοι, με αποτέλεσμα να δημιουργηθούν 24 οργανωμένα πεδία από τον πρώτο κιόλας χρόνο. Από τότε, αναρριχητές άρχισαν να συρρέουν στην Κάλυμνο, καθώς η φήμη για τις κατάφυτες από αρωματικά βότανα βουνοπλαγιές της και το υπέροχο θαλάσσιο περιβάλλον της άρχισε να εξαπλώνεται σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο. Η κινητοποίηση αυτή είχε ως αποτέλεσμα τη μεταμόρφωση του νησιού: από έναν τόπο που βασιζόταν κατά κύριο λόγο στο εμπόριο σφουγγαριών και στην αλιεία σε παραδεισένιο προορισμό για τους λάτρεις της αναρρίχησης. Σήμερα, στο νησί υπάρχουν περίπου 200 περιπατητικές διαδρομές και 77 αναρριχητικά πεδία, καθιστώντας την Κάλυμνο έναν από τους σημαντικότερους προορισμούς όπου ο επισκέπτης αναρριχητής μπορεί να βρει ό,τι επιθυμεί: αφθονία από προκλητικούς σχηματισμούς βράχων που αντιτίθεται αρμονικά στην απλότητα και αυθεντικότητα του τόπου. Εδώ, η δυνατότητα να εξερευνήσουμε νέες διαδρομές είναι απεριόριστη. Προσφέροντας αναρριχητική εμπειρία που μπορεί να διαρκέσει έως και έναν μήνα, η Κάλυμνος, περικυκλωμένη με μερικούς από τους πιο επιβλη-

τικούς βραχώδεις όγκους που υπάρχουν στον κόσμο (το σπήλαιο Grande Grotta σχηματίζει ένα τεράστιο ασβεστολιθικό αμφιθέατρο), παρέχει πλούσια συλλογή από σχηματισμούς βράχων που με τις ασυνήθιστες λαβές τους προ-(σ)καλούν τον αναρριχητή κάθε στιλ και επίπεδου να τους κατακτήσει. Παρά τον μεγάλο αριθμό αναρριχητών που την επιλέγουν, η Κάλυμνος παραμένει ένας γαλήνιος και ανεξερεύνητος ακόμα τόπος. Τα μικρά χωριά της διασκορπισμένα κατά μήκος της ακτογραμμής της, η αιώνια λιακάδα της και οι χωρίς όρια αναρριχητικές δυνατότητές της, έπεισαν ορισμένους από τους αναρριχητές να εγκατασταθούν στο νησί από την πρώτη κιόλας επίσκεψή τους, προκειμένου να προσφέρουν μαθήματα και καθοδήγηση ή ακόμα και να εργαστούν σε κάποιο από τα μικρά μαγαζάκια του νησιού. Ας συνδυάσουμε λοιπόν αυτές τις πλούσιες δραστηριότητες αναρρίχησης βράχου με μια περιήγηση στα μνημεία της αρχαίας πόλης στη Χώρα∙ ας ακολουθήσουμε περιπατητικά μονοπάτια για να ανακαλύψουμε μικρά, απομονωμένα μοναστήρια ή ας προσπαθήσουμε να ικανοποιήσουμε την επιθυμία μας για εξορμήσεις κάνοντας ιστιοπλοΐα γύρω από τα γειτονικά νησάκια και τους μικρούς, απρόσιτους για τον πολύ κόσμο, κολπίσκους.

Kalymnos, a small island located in southeastern Dodecanese archipelago, offers rock climbing and bouldering during the whole year. Especially on September, you can enjoy pleasant climbing temperatures in combination with warm water for swimming and water sports. Climbers began drifting into Kalymnos in the mid-1990s as word spread of giant cliffs and seaside ambiance. As a consequence, the island has transformed itself from one where the main sources of income were from a declining sponge-diving and fishing industry into a climberâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s paradise. Nowadays, there are approximately 200 walking distances in 77 climbing fields, including distinctive markings for the starting point of every trekking spot. Kalymnos is one of the most important climbing destinations worldwide, an island that has everything a traveling climber looks for: abundance of challenging rock formations but also simplicity and authenticity. Here, the potential for new routes and new areas is enormous; less than 10% is explored, eventhough, in Kalymnos the rock climbing experience can last for a month: surrounded by some of the finest limestone crags in the world (the Grande Grotta cave forms a giant limestone amphitheater), the island provides a huge range of climbing on slabs, big walls, overhangs, and tufas to suit every level and style. Despite its popularity from visiting climbers, Kalymnos still remains an untouched and tranquil place. Its small towns and villages scattered along the island's coast, the endless sunshine and the limitless climbing potential of the island convinced some climbers to settle here from their first visit, in order to offer guiding services or even work in small stores. Η Θράκη απαρτίζεται από τους νομούς Ξάνθης, Ροδόπης και Έβρου ξεκινώντας από τα δυτικά, με πρωτεύουσες τις Ξάνθη, Κομοτηνή και Αλεξανδρούπολη αντίστοιχα. Φυσικό σύνορο προς την Ανατολή (Τουρκία) αποτελεί ο ποταμός Έβρος, ενώ η επιβλητική οροσειρά της Ροδόπης με τη Βουλγαρία στο Βορά. Στη Θράκη ανήκει επίσης και ένα από τα ομορφότερα νησιά του πλανήτη, η Σαμοθράκη.

μνημονεύσουμε βέβαια τον Σπάρτακο, στον οποίο οφείλεται το μεγαλύτερο επαναστατικό κίνημα που άφησε ανεξίτηλο σημάδι και εμπνέει μέχρι σήμερα.

Τόπος καταγωγής ανθρώπων που σημάδεψαν την παγκόσμια ιστορία, όπως ο «μυθικός» Ορφέας, ποιητής και αοιδός, που γήτευε τα ζώα και τη φύση, ο Αίσωπος, πατέρας των Ελλήνων Παραμυθάδων, ο Πρωταγόρας, ο Δημόκριτος, ο Θουκιδίδης… ενώ από τους σύγχρονους, ο Κώστας Βάρναλης, ο Γεώργιος Βιζυηνός, η Σοφία Βέμπο και ο «Ορφικός» Μάνος Χατζηδάκης. Η απαρχή της Ιστορίας της Θράκης φτάνει τουλάχιστον στην 5η π.Χ. χιλιετηρίδα με βάση την ανακάλυψη των πρώτων νεολιθικών οικισμών και είναι ένδοξη, πολυτάραχη αλλά και πολύ λυπηρή. Η σημερινή της γεωγραφική επικράτεια, είναι αποτέλεσμα της παραχώρησης του βορείου κομματιού της στη Βουλγαρία με την Συνθήκη του Αγίου Στεφάνου το 1878 ως αυτόνομη Ανατολική Ρωμυλία υπό την επικυριαρχία του Σουλτάνου, ενώ το 1908, προσαρτάται οριστικά με την ανακήρυξη της Βουλγαρίας ως αυτόνομο Βασίλειο.

Μία από τις σημαντικότερες προσφορές του Θρακικού Πολιτισμού, είναι η Ορφική (Ορφικά Μυστήρια) και η Διονυσιακή Λατρεία (Διονυσιακά Μυστήρια) ενώ στη συνέχεια ακολούθησαν και τα Ελευσίνια μυστήρια (ιδρυτής θεωρήθηκε ο Θράξ, Εύμολπος). Είναι ασφαλές να πει κάποιος ότι από τις Θρακικές τελετές γεννήθηκαν η αρχαία μουσική, τα αρχαία μυστήρια και η αρχαία ποίηση.

Τα αρχαιότερα και πιο επιβλητικά όλων όμως, ήταν τα Καβείρια μυστήρια που τελούνταν στη

Σαμοθράκη (με πιθανή προέλευση από τα Κρητομινωϊκά). Η "εσωτερική" διδασκαλία των Καβείριων μυστηρίων ήταν «η γέννηση του ανθρώπου».

Μεγάλες προσωπικότητες των Ελλήνων είχαν μυηθεί, όπως ο Αγαμέμνων και ο Οδυσσέας, όπως επίσης σύμφωνα με την μυθολογία ο Ορφέας, ο Ηρακλής, ο Ιάσων και

οι Διόσκουροι Κάστορας και Πολυδεύκης. Τέλος ο Βασιλιάς Φίλιππος ήταν επίσης μυημένος, όπου και γνώρισε την Ολυμπιάδα, μητέρα του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, που ήταν και ιέρεια των Καβείρων. Φυσικά και ο Μέγας Αλέξανδρος μυήθηκε στα Καβείρια Μυστήρια, όπως και ο Ηρόδοτος αλλά και ο Πυθαγόρας.

Πίσω στο σήμερα όμως… Τι θα βιώσει ο Ταξιδευτής;

στη Ξάνθη… Εξαιρετική αρχιτεκτονική με ζωντανά χρώματα, αρχοντικά καπνεμπόρων, καλντερίμια, καπναποθήκες, την παλιά αγορά, τα χάνια, τα μοναστήρια και το δεσπόζον Βυζαντινό κάστρο της Ξάνθειας. Θα ξεκουραστεί γύρω από τον χείμαρρο Κόσυνθο που διασχίζει την πόλη πρίν το Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας πλάι στο Μουσουλμανικό νεκροταφείο. Στο Λαογραφικό Μουσείο, κεντήματα, φορεσιές, κοσμήματα. Περιοχή πλούσια σε βλάστηση. Πραγματικοί θησαυροί της φύσης τα Θρακικά Τέμπη, το δάσος στο Δέλτα του Νέστου, ιδανικό για περιηγήσεις , το δάσος οξιάς στο Αρκουδόρεμα, ο υγροβιότοπος της λίμνης Βιστονίδας.

Thrace is composed of the prefectures of Xanthi, Rodopi and Evros, starting from the west, with capitals Xanthi, Komotini and Alexandroupolis respectively. Natural boundary to the East (Turkey) is Evros River and the mountain range of Rodopi in Bulgaria in the north. In Thrace belongs one of the most beautiful islands of the planet, Samothrace. Place of origin of people who left their mark on world history, such as the "mythical" Orpheus, poet and vocalist, who mesmerized animals and nature, Aesop, father of Greek storytellers, Protagoras, Democritus, Thucydides ... while the modern, Varnalis Costas, George Viziinos, Sophia Vembo and the "Orphic" Manos Hatzidakis. In the long list, we must of course mention Spartacus, creator of the largest rebel movement that left an indelible mark and inspiring today. The beginning of Thracian history is recorded at least in the fifth BC millennium based on the discovery of the first Neolithic settlements and is glorious, exciting and sometimes very sad. The current geographic territory is the result of the concession of the northern track in Bulgaria by the Treaty of San Stefano in 1878 as an autonomous Eastern Romilia under the suzerainty of the Sultan, while in 1908, permanently attached to Bulgaria after the declaration of the latter as an independent Kingdom. Similarly, the eastern part was granted to Turkey, by the Protocol of 1922 in Moudania after the negative outcome of the Asia Minor campaign by the Greeks. It is noteworthy that at the peak of its civilization, the Thracian area was covering 79,000 square meters while today is just 8,580 square meters and its population (according to Strabo) reached 2,000,000 (divided into 22 tribes) second after India!

One of the biggest offers of Thracian culture is the Orphic (Orphic Mysteries) and the Dionysian Cult (Dionysian Mysteries), followed by the Eleusinian mysteries (founder was a Thracian, Evmolpos). It's safe to say that the ancient Thracian rites gave birth to music, ancient mysteries and ancient poetry. The oldest and most impressive of all though, was the Kaveiria mysteries celebrated in Samothrace (with possible origin from the Minoans). The "esoteric" teaching of Kaveiria was "the birth of man." According to Philostratus, every year and at spring time, in Limnos Island and during the festive ceremonies, they would put out all lights on the island for nine days until a ship from Delos, would bring the “New Light”. For this reason, the candle was a symbol of Kaveirian mysteries, quite similar (for some inspired) to the Greek Orthodox Easter. Great personalities of the Greeks had been initiated, such as Agamemnon and Odysseus, as well as according to mythology, Orpheus, Hercules and Jason. Finally, King Philip was also initiated, where he met Olympiad, mother of Alexander the Great, who was a priestess of Kaveiria. Of course, Alexander the Great was initiated as well, and so did Herodotus and Pythagoras.

σημαντικότερους υδροβιότοπους στην Ευρώπη, ο οποίος μάλιστα έχει χαρακτηρισθεί και δρυμός. Τη σύγχρονη Ορεστιάδα, γνωστή και ως «Παρίσι της Θράκης», το ιστορικό Διδυμότειχο με πλήθος αξιόλογων μνημείων, το οποίο υπήρξε για κάποιο διάστημα και πρωτεύουσα του οθωμανικού κράτους και η Αλεξανδρούπολη, σύγχρονη, ζωντανή, άνετη και το πιο σημαντικό εμπορικό και συγκοινωνιακό κέντρο της Β. Ελλάδας, και κύριο λιμάνι της Θράκης. Το δάσος της Δαδιάς, που βρίσκεται κοντά στο Σουφλί και συνδέεται οικολογικά με το Δέλτα του Έβρου, σπίτι για 36 από τα 39 είδη αρπακτικών πουλιών που υπάρχουν και στην Ευρώπη. Σε όλους τους νομούς εκτείνονται παραλίες που ικανοποιούν όλα τα γούστα, αμμώδεις και βραχώδεις, απομονωμένες & πολύβουες, οργανωμένες και μη. Καταλύματα κάθε είδους και για παραλιακό αλλά και για ορεινό καθώς και οικολογικό τουρισμό.

Αντίγραφο της «Νίκης της Σαμοθράκης» που κάποτε κοσμούσε το Ιερό θα δει κανείς στο Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο. Τα Θερμά Λουτρά με θειούχα και ραδιούχα νερά θεραπεύουν ρευματισμούς, αρθριτικά, ισχυαλγίες, μέσα σε πλατάνια. Σε μικρή απόσταση και ανάμεσα σε καστανιές και πλατάνια είναι ο καταρράκτης "Γριά Βάθρα" και ψηλότερα η "Κρέμαση" με μικρούς καταρράκτες και χιλιάδες πουλιά. Είναι αδύνατον μέσα σε μια χούφτα λέξεις, να καλύψεις τρείς πανέμορφους νομούς και 8.000 χρόνια ιστορίας. Αρκεί να ξυπνήσει όμως τη φλόγα της αναζήτησης, για μια ουσιαστική εμπειρία Ζωής…

Built on the banks of the river Guadalhorce, on the shores of the Mediterranean, Malaga is the fifth largest city in Spain, with a population of approximately 600,000 people in a metropolitan area of over 1 million inhabitants. It is the capital of the prefecture of the same name and the second largest city in the autonomous community of Andalusia. The city is one of the most developed and beautiful cities in Spain and a major port with a vibrant cultural life.

Μάλαγα είναι από της παλαιότερες πόλεις σε ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη. Aποικία των Φοινίκων αρχικά, ελληνική αποικία αργότερα με το όνομα «Μαινάκη», η πόλη πέρασε στα χέρια των Ρωμαίων αποτελώντας ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά λιμάνια της Ρωμαϊκής Αυτοκρατορίας με έντονη εμπορική, αγροτική και αλιευτική δραστηριότητα. Είναι η εποχή της άνθησης των τεχνών και της διάδοσης των ρωμαϊκών λουτρών που διατηρούνται μέχρι και σήμερα. Με την παρακμή της ρωμαϊκής κυριαρχίας και την ενδυνάμωση του χριστιανισμού –η Μάλαγα, μετά την Οικουμενική Σύνοδο της Νίκαιας το 325 μ.Χ ήταν από τους σημαντικότερους χριστιανικούς πυρήνες στην ρωμαϊκή «Hispania»- τις ακτές της Ανδαλουσίας σάρωσαν τα γερμανικά φύλα των Βανδάλων και των Βησιγότθων. Η περιοχή τελικά, γίνεται έδαφος της Βυζαντινής Αυτοκρατορίας μετά τις εκστρατείες του Ιουστινιανού στην προσπάθειά του να αναβιώσει εδαφικά τη μεγάλη αυτοκρατορία του παρελθόντος.

Η αυτοκρατορία τελικά δεν επιστρέφει ποτέ στο μεγαλείο της και η Μάλαγα πέφτει στα χέρια των Αράβων που σαρώνουν την Ιβηρική χερσόνησο. Οι ντόπιοι φεύγουν για τα βουνά και η νότια Ισπανία γίνεται το χαλιφάτο του Αλ-Ανταλούς, γνωρίζοντας το απόλυτο μεγαλείο για οκτώ αιώνες. Ισλάμ και Ιουδαϊσμός αποτυπώνονται στην τέχνη κάθε μορφής την εποχή εκείνη, μέχρι την εκδίωξη Αράβων και Εβραίων από τους Καθολικούς Βασιλείς, την Ισαβέλλα και τον Φερνάντο, σε μια εποχή που η φεουδαρχική Ευρώπη κάνει τα πρώτα της βήματα στη δημιουργία ομογενών εθνικά και θρησκευτικά κρατών. Τον Αύγουστο του 1482, η πόλη προσαρτήθηκε στο Στέμμα της Καστίλλης, ο Φερνάντο και η Ισαβέλλα μπήκαν θριαμβευτικά στην πόλη και ο πληθυσμός τιμωρήθηκε με σκλαβιά ή θάνατο. Η Μάλαγα ακολούθησε την πορεία των περισσότερων ευρωπαϊκών πόλεων προς τον εκμοντερνισμό, τον εκχριστιανισμό και αρκετά αργότερα, την βιομηχανοποίηση, μέσα πάντα από το πρίσμα και τις διαστάσεις που επέβαλαν οι

ιστορικές συνθήκες στην Ισπανία. Παρά την προσπάθεια των χριστιανών βασιλέων να αφανίσουν το εβραϊκό και αραβικό στοιχείο, ευτυχώς η ιστορία έμεινε βαθιά ριζωμένη σε ολόκληρη την περιοχή και ακόμα και σήμερα ο επισκέπτης μπορεί να «διαβάσει» το παρελθόν της όμορφης αυτής πόλης της Ανδαλουσίας, σαν να πρόκειται για καμβά του πιο διάσημου κατοίκου της, του Πάμπλο Πικάσο.

μνημεία, μετακινήσεις και συγκοινωνίες… Η παλιά πόλη της Μάλαγα είναι από μόνη της μνημείο αρχιτεκτονικής εκκλησιαστικού και κοσμικού τύπου. Ο καθεδρικός ναός με το ημιτελές καμπαναριό, το πατρικό σπίτι του Πάμπλο Πικάσο και το Μουσείο Πικάσο, το Ρωμαϊκό Θέατρο, το σύγχρονο Θέατρο Θερβάντες, η Αρένα των ταυρομαχιών, τα γραφικά σοκάκια και οι μεγάλοι, φαρδείς, εμπορικοί δρόμοι είναι μόνο μερικά από αυτά που μπορεί να απολαύσει ο επισκέπτης σε μια πόλη που μπορεί και συνδυάζει το μεσογειακό τοπίο με τις μεγάλες παραλίες και την έντονη νυχτερινή ζωή α λα ισπανικά.

Η πρόσβαση στη Μάλαγα από το εξωτερικό είναι εύκολη και σχετικά οικονομική με χαμηλού κόστους αεροπορικές εταιρίες, για όσους το επιλέξουν, με πτήσεις προς το αεροδρόμιο «Pablo Picasso» της Μάλαγα που είναι και ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα στη χώρα με πρόσφατη ολοκλήρωση της νέας του πτέρυγας αποκλειστικά για πτήσεις εξωτερικού. Η πόλη συνδέεται με τη Μαδρίτη με το περίφημο AVE, συρμό υψηλής ταχύτητας ενώ σε κοντινή απόσταση βρίσκονται πόλεις-θρύλοι όπως η Σεβίλλη, η Κόρδοβα και η Γρανάδα. Η σύνδεση με τις γύρω περιοχές γίνεται με τρένο και αστικά λεωφορεία που λειτουργούν με άψογη τάξη και συνέπεια, χωρίς να είναι απαραίτητη η χρήση αυτοκινήτου. Τέλος, σε λίγο καιρό θα είναι έτοιμο το νέο μετρό της πόλης που, σε πρώτη φάση, θα έχει δυο γραμμές και θα διασχίζει την πόλη, στα πλαίσια της προσπάθειας που έγινε στο πρόσφατο παρελθόν για εξωραϊσμό της πόλης που ήταν υποψήφια για Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτιστική πρωτεύουσα το 2016.

ο gay επισκέπτης… Αυτό που πρέπει να έχει υπόψη του ο επισκέπτης είναι το ότι η Ισπανία αποτελεί χώρα-πρότυπο αναφορικά με την gay ζωή. Ακόμα και τα πιο μικρά επαρχιακά μέρη συνήθως διαθέτουν ένα γκέι ή έστω φιλικό προς τους gay κατάστημα ενώ ο κόσμος είναι ιδιαίτερα ανοιχτόμυαλος. Η Μάλαγα βρίσκεται στην περίφημη Κόστα Ντελ Σολ, ένα σύνολο από πόλεις που φτάνουν μέχρι το Γιβραλτάρ που έχουν όλες προσφορά διασκέδασης και ψυχαγωγίας για το gay κοινό. Η πόλη καθαυτή δεν προσφέρει ιδιαίτερα πράγματα σε αυτόν τον τομέα παρά το μέγεθός της. Αυτό όμως οφείλεται στο ότι βρίσκεται σε μικρή απόσταση από τη Μαρμπέγια, τη «Μύκονο» της περιοχής με τα ακριβά clubs και τα στέκια των διασήμων και των γαλαζοαίματων της χώρας. Κέντρο όμως της gay ζωής είναι μια μικρή πόλη λίγα λεπτά μακριά, το Τορρεμολίνος. Το μόνο που πρέπει να κάνετε είναι να πάρετε το τρένο από το εμπορικό κέντρο El Vialia που στεγάζει και τον κεντρικό σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό της πόλης , τον «María Zambrano». Το Τορρεμολίνος είναι ο κατεξοχήν τόπος συγκέντρωσης του γκέι κοινού κατά τη διάρκεια όλου του χρόνου με αποκορύφωμα το καλοκαίρι. Η πόλη γνώρισε την πλήρη της ακμή λόγω των πολλών clubs, καφετεριών, καταστημάτων με ρούχα, ξενοδοχείων και κάθε είδους υπηρεσιών που απευθύνονται αποκλειστικά και μόνο σε LGBT επισκέπτες. Τα περισσότερα μέρη που μπορεί κάποιος να διασκεδάσει, να απολαύσει τον καφέ του και να κάνει τα ψώνια του βρίσκονται, δυστυχώς, όχι στην παραλιακή λεωφόρο αλλά στο κέντρο, στην ιστορική στοά La Nogalera και στους γειτονικούς δρόμους. Ενδεικτικά παραθέτουμε μερικά ονόματα και στοιχεία που θα σας χρησιμεύσουν για τη διασκέδασή σας τόσο στη Μάλαγα (που όπως είπαμε, είναι περιορισμένη) όσο και στο Τορρεμολίνος. Καλή διαμονή!

alaga is one of the oldest European cities being initially a colony of the Phoenicians. The Greeks called it "Mainaki" and later on, the city passed into the hands of the Romans becoming an important port of the Roman Empire with a strong commercial, agricultural and fishing activity. It is the time when the arts bloom and Roman baths are becoming very popular; some of them can be seen until today. After the decline of the Roman rule and the empowerment of Christianity (after the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in 325 AD Malaga was a significant Christian core in «Hispania») the coasts of Andalusia were swept by the German tribes of Vandals and Visigoths. The area eventually annexed to the Byzantine Empire during Justinian's campaigns in the west. The empire never returned to its former territorial glory and the Arabs conquered Malaga and a big part of the Iberian Peninsula. Locals fled to the mountains and southern Spain became the caliphate of Al-Andalus, reaching its ultimate glory for eight centuries. Islam and Judaism are reflected in all forms of art at the time, until the expulsion of Arabs and Jews by the Catholic Kings, Isabel and Fernando, in an era when feudal Europe was taking its first steps towards the creation of ethnically and religiously homogeneous states. In August 1482, the city was annexed to the Crown of Castile, Fernando and Isabel triumphantly entered the city and the population was punished with slavery or death. Malaga followed the path of most European cities towards the

modernization, the Christianization and much later, the industrialization, as imposed by the historical conditions in Spain. Despite the efforts of the Christian kings to destroy the jewish and arabic element, fortunately the history was deeply rooted in the whole region and even today visitors can "read" the past of this beautiful Andalusian city, as if it was a canvas of its most famous citizen, Pablo Picasso.

Malaga is located in the famous Costa del Sol, a set of coastal cities that reach Gibraltar. The city itself has too little to offer, despite its size. But this is because Marbella, the "Mykonos" of the area, is only a few kilometers away, with expensive clubs and VIP meeting points for the celebrities and the royalty of the country. However, the main gay scene is a small town a few minutes far from Malaga, Torremolinos. All you have to do is take the train from the mall “El Vialia” that houses the main railway station of the city, «María Zambrano». Torremolinos is the gay hotspot throughout the entire year reaching its peak during summertime. The town keeps flourishing due to its many clubs, cafes, clothing stores, hotels and many other services directed exclusively to LGBT visitors and locals. Most places that one can have fun, sip a coffee and do some shopping, are unfortunately not on the coast but centered around the historic La Nogalera Arcade and the neighbouring streets. Υπάρχει καντίνα στην παραλία με καλαμωτή σκεπή, όπου οι λεσβίες συναντιούνται για κουβεντούλα και ούζο υπό τους ήχους mainstream μουσικής. EN| The biggest beach of the island, full of sand and with clear cold water, is at Eressos. The beach offers all kinds of sport facilities that will recreate, vitalize and entertain you. If you want to go fishing or be surrounded only by women, then choose the part that is at the right of th camping area. This same camping used to be occupied only by women, but at the recent times the resorters are rather mixed. There is a natural lake in front of the camping and the lesbian section is at the right side of the beach till the volleyball court, where you can find many women at evenings. There is a canteen on the beach with a reed roof where lesbians meet for chating and a glass of ouzo hearing the tunes of mainstream music.

EL| H Παραπορτιανή αποτελεί ένα ξεχωριστό αξιόλογο αρχιτεκτονικό σύμπλεγμα, στην δημιουργία του οποίου δεν συνέβαλε μόνο ο άνθρωπος, αλλά και ο χρόνος, που με τις

τυχαίες φθορές που προκάλεσε, δημιούργησε ένα τελικό αποτέλεσμα ανεπανάληπτης αισθητικής. Η Παραπορτιανή πήρε το όνομά της, από το γεγονός ότι βρίσκεται δίπλα στη μικρή Β.Δ. πύλη, "το παραπόρτι" του μεσαιωνικού τείχους της Μυκόνου. Δημιουου ργήθηκε κατά το διάστημα μεταξύ 16 και 17ου αιώνα και η αρχιτεκτονική της μοναδικότητά της, την έχουν αναδείξει σε σημαντικό μνημείο, όχι μόνο για την Μύκονο, αλλά και για ολόκληρο το Αιγαίο. Σήμερα, κατά τις βραδινές ώρες αλλά και αργά μετά τις 3.00 π.μ. αποτελεί τόπο γνωριμιών των περισσότερων gay αντρών του νησιού. EN| One of the most famous architectural structures in Greece is the church, Paraportiani. Positioned near the main harbor entrance, this church is the central feature of the "Kastro" or castle area, the oldest section of town. Its name means inner or secondary door which it was to the Medieval stone walls which encircled the area. First begun in 1475, Paraportiani in reality is a group of five smaller churches which were cons-tructed over a period of time and not completed until well into the 17th century. The two story structure was molded together utilizing four of its churches to form a base for the fifth church which when placed on top formed a central domed roof. Today, in the evening and late after 3.00 a.m. it's a dating site for most gay men of the island.

EN| One of the largest beaches of the island with shallow, clear waters, fine sand and overlooking the neighboring island of Naxos. Elia beach, which is organized with deckchairs, umbrellas and a bar that serves the sea, has a great atmosphere without being removed for its natural beauty. The nudists part is on the right side, while on the right and immediately within the next two gulfs you will meet only gay swimmers and there is a lot of cruising on the rocks. You can also go by road to the nearby beach Argari and walk on the cliffs to the left of the beach until you reach gay men and the first bay with gay swimmers.
