DePaul Catholic High School
Mission Statement
DePaul Catholic High School is a co-educational diocesan college preparatory high school whose mission is to foster the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth of its students. DePaul Catholic enables all students to deepen their faith by teaching the doctrine and traditions of the Catholic Church; by strengthening their sense of social justice and societal responsibility, and by helping students form a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The school community also develops young men and women from varying backgrounds into skilled, compassionate citizens who respect the dignity of all people and leaders who are willing to meet the challenges of a complex global society.

2013-2014 Special Projects Campaign
Where Learning Begins You are invited to join in supporting the Relocation and Renovation of the DePaul Catholic High School Student Information Commons A STUDENT INFORMATION COMMONS IS A GATEWAY INTO THE VAST WORLD OF INFORMATION, EXPLORATION, INQUIRY, LEARNING INTERACTIVITY, CREATIVITY AND PRODUCTION. - KOEHLIN, ZWAAN & LOERTSCHER
RELOCATION AND RENOVATION OF THE MEDIA CENTER INTO THE STUDENT INFORMATION COMMONS Students’ success in high school is enhanced through their connection with the information learning commons and the services offered. A Student Information Commons provides a sense of ownership to students in their education which, in turn, keeps them engaged and motivated. The Commons also encourages sharing of information for increased knowledge. As DePaul Catholic continues to Strive for Excellence, the Board of Trustees, Administration, faculty, staff and students see the growing need for a space that will allow students to grow academically beyond the classroom. After conducting a thorough assessment of the facility it has been concluded that the relocation of the existing Media Center to what is now the Assembly Room, would allow for optimal and beneficial use of space for both the students and faculty. The renovation will transform the existing Assembly Room into the Information Commons. The space will become an efficient research and study center for our students and will provide them with a comfortable and inviting space for both individual and group work. This project will require the construction of two meeting/group study rooms for use by both the students and faculty. Carpeting, new glass doors for the entrance, individual study centers, new furniture to include tables and chairs as well as comfortable seating will also be included in the renovation. The addition of a complete research database and staffing will round out this project.
