Company history It all started back in the 1950s when Lars Åke Bratt founded a wholesaler business for local barbershops in Stockholm. In the beginning the products he sold were limited to chemical products which he developed himself but it quickly grew into purified import and distribution business, offering hair tools and accessories to the professional hairdressing market. In the 70s’ and 80s’ many of todays’ brands like Oster, Joewell and Parlux became exclusive brands for Bratt and have been so ever since. In the early 90s’ the two current owners, Leif Ahlquist and Christina Bratt took over. The company changed the name to Bratt Trading and the customer focus changed from the local hairdressers to wholesalers in the Nordic countries. In 2006, a second office was opened in Vienna, Austria, for better service to the growing number of customers in Europe. The most recent expansion was in October 2012, when Bratt Trading moved to a new, 3200 m² large premises (see pictures above) in order to keep up with the ever growing demand. Bratt Trading today Bratt Trading is, what we like to call, a master distribution company focusing on hair tools for the professional market. As a master distributor, we only sell to wholesalers in the hairdressing industry. We have always highly valued having a streamlined organization for flexibility with the highest possible degree of personal customer service. Our main focus when it comes to products is to select the best of everything instead of simply having everything, and to always represent brands before private labelling.
