Cinderella Pantomime access performances Do you struggle to hear or see at the theatre? Maybe you like to talk or move around a lot. Or perhaps you feel nervous or anxious during live shows. If so, you might enjoy one of our access performances of this year’s pantomime Cinderella.
Cinderella is the story of a beautiful girl who has to serve her mean step-sisters. With the help of her friend Buttons and her magical Fairy Godmother, Cinderella dreams of escaping and The show is at Derby Arena, Royal Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8JB. It is on between Tuesday 6 December and Tuesday 3 January.
When can I see the show? There will be sign interpreted performances on Thursday 8 December at 10:15am, Saturday 10 December at 7:30pm, Tuesday 27 December at 6pm and Monday 2 January at 2pm. There will be audio described performances on Wednesday 14 December at 2pm, Saturday 31 December at 10:30am and Monday 2 January at 2pm. There will be captioned performances on Friday 30 December at 2pm and 7pm. There will be a relaxed performance on Thursday 29 December at 2pm. Relaxed performances
Captioning provides access to live theatre for people who would benefit from being able to read the spoken word during the show. This can include deaf, deafened or hard of hearing people but is suitable for anyone who finds it useful. During the show an LED Caption Unit is displayed on the stage and all spoken or sung words, sound effects and offstage
A relaxed performance is intended specifically to be sensitive to audience members who may benefit from a more relaxed environment, including (but not limited to) those with autistic spectrum conditions, anyone with sensory and communication disorders or learning disabled people. This means that there is a more casualthan-usual approach to the theatre experience.
