HELLO
With the nights getting lighter, the signs of summer are underway and there is a range of exciting events in and around the city to help you make the most of the warmer months.
Enjoy the great outdoors, as many of the parks in Derby will be host to a range of events over the summer. Outdoor Theatre and Cinema Season will return to Markeaton Park. With more theatre and films suitable for all the family at the Craft Village, there will be plenty to do throughout July. Look forward to a double delight of Shakespearean comedy as Oddsocks will bring us the hilarious Much Ado About Nothing, while Derby Shakespeare Company has us crossing paths with fairies and mischief makers in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The park will also play host to wheels of all shapes and sizes in the family friendly Derby Retro and Classic Car Show.
Markeaton Park’s Craft Village inflatable screens will be back with two film screenings. Grab your friends, your picnic and enjoy the first of our two films, Bridesmaids, which takes us on a wild journey to the big day. Flying high Top Gun Maverick will take audiences on the ride
