Hello As we get nearer to Christmas, we’d love you to join us and go for a spin on the Derby Christmas Ice Rink, come and see our traditional family pantomime Aladdin at the new Derby Arena, or our Guildhall Theatre Christmas Show, The Potty Professor’s Christmas Miracle. We’ve also teamed up with Lostboys to bring you Ears on a Beatle, a play based on the FBI files on John Lennon. As we welcome the New Year, we have two nights of comedy from pantomime star and Derby favourite Mike ‘Squeaky’ McClean, followed by a week of more laughs, magic, music and mirth with Derby’s Oddsocks in The Legend of King Arthur.

We have plenty of music, from Sinfonia Viva at Derby Cathedral and Richard Digance to The Rockabellas and The Simon and Garfunkel Story. For something just a little different, why not check out Bat-fan – a hilarious musical tribute to Batman, or the very interesting The UKs Worst Serial Killers. Looking ahead to Spring, we’re looking forward to the return of the fabulous Ladyboys of Bangkok, with their fantastic new stage show!

After a long legal battle, the US government published the FBI files on John Lennon through the Freedom of Information Act. This play is based on those files. Two agents are assigned to place the ‘Subject’, John Lennon, under surveillance. As they proceed with their job of watching, documenting, and reporting on the life of someone else, their own lives become affected as their assignment lasts nearly 10 years until John Lennon’s death in 1980. This true chapter in American History poses further questions concerning celebrity and world leader assassinations. Where do you draw the line between coincidence and conspiracy?
