HELLO

With the festive season getting underway, we hope you’ve hooked your tickets for our pantomime! Peter Pan is a high-flying action-packed adventure, full of giant sized jokes - the perfect treat for the whole family! The show runs into early January, l so don’t miss out!

In the Arena we have a fabulous programme of big names, music and comedy in the coming months. Kicking off with Whitney - Queen of the Night in March and then Queen Machine Symphonic in April featuring West End leading lady Kerry Ellis, accompanied by the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra.

We’re really sad that the closure of the Guildhall Theatre has been extended into 2020, however we feel optimistic for the future of this much loved building. We’re also really pleased that we’ve managed to work with The Babbling Vagabonds to bring The Brothers Grimm in The Night Before The Night Before Christmas to the Markeaton Craft Village during the festive period.

We welcome back The Ladyboys of Bangkok with their Flight of Fantasy tour - a cabaret like no other cabaret. For our St George’s Day celebrations we have a programme of events on the Market Place, with Morris dancing and lots of English eccentricity. Looking ahead towards Summer, we have many more outdoor events in the city centre and on our parks.

Guildhall Theatre temporary closure The Guildhall Theatre will be closed for an extended period of time, whilst essential maintenance works take place. If you have any questions regarding performances at the Guildhall Theatre or the Arena, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Sales and Information team on 01332 255800, boxoffice@derby.gov.uk or in person at the Sales and Information Centre, Riverside Chambers, Full Street, Derby DE1 3AF. Visit derbylive.co.uk for updates and details on events.

Jimmy’s brand new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things. Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love. But they’re just jokes - they are not the terrible things. Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo. Now you’ve been warned, buy a ticket.
