Summer is on its way and we have an exciting programme of indoor and outdoor theatre and events taking place around the city for you to look forward to. There is lot’s going on at Derby Arena this May. The Magic of Motown show steams into town once again, promising a fun filled night to remember! Kings of British Rock: The Hollies are back on tour, with a night of rock music and dancing, and get ready girls, the Dreamboys are back for 2022 and they’re hotter than ever! Markeaton Park will once again be hosting the Outdoor Theatre and Cinema Season, with something for everyone. Family friendly interactive theatre with Children’s Pop Up Theatre Fairytales and a new Wild Walk – Adventure Shack with those fabulous funsters the Babbling Vagabonds. Enjoy lots of laughs, music and memorable moments from Oddsocks in Hamlet The Comedy and watch two witty wives serve up a little revenge in Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Merry Wives of Windsor. The park will also play host to wheels of all shapes and sizes in the Derby Retro and Classic Car Show.
Markeaton Park Craft Village’s inflatable screen will be back with three film screenings to enjoy. Bring your picnic and chair and try not to blush as you cheer on the lads in our first film The Full Monty. Get ready to sing, dance and shout ‘Here we go again!’ as Mamma Mia! returns and relive the Sandy and Danny love story with our third film Grease. This August bank holiday we also have a weekend packed full of events in the stunning surroundings of Darley Park. We invite you to join the party as Classic Ibiza bring a heady blend of Balearic beats to life in a family friendly night to remember. This is followed by a night of nostalgia as we transport you back to the 80s with 80s Mix Tape a night of 80s icons, celebrating hits from some of the biggest stars of the decade. The Darley Park Concert returns where we will be celebrating a year of anniversaries from the Queen’s Jubilee to Sinfonia Viva’s 40th with music from the Queen’s Coronation and music from the Royal Fireworks and much more.

The line-up includes powerhouse drummer Bobby Elliott, and singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist Tony Hicks, both of whom are original members of the band. Classic Ibiza returns for an open-air celebration of White Isle-inspired house music. Featuring former Pacha Ibiza resident, Jose Luis, as well as DJ Goldierocks and live vocalists, the show is headlined by the awesome Urban Soul Orchestra who has worked alongside the likes of Groove Armada and Robert Miles. This is in order to fulfil your booking; to contact you about any important changes to your booking; and for certain legitimate business interests - these include using information we have about you and your relationship with us to inform you about similar events and ticket offers that we think you might be interested in, by email, post and phone. Your personal data is also processed by our booking system suppliers and email & mail distribution services.
