TRENT XWB 100 years in the making EXHIBITION 21 February - 22 March The Silk Mill FREE Suitable for all The Trent XWB is the very latest engine developed by Rolls-Royce. It is the world’s most efficient large aero engine flying and recently started passenger carrying service with Qatar Airways, almost exactly 100 years after the first Rolls-Royce aero engine, the Eagle, ran for the first time. The Trent XWB puts Rolls-Royce at the very cutting edge of a high-technology industry, with Derby at the centre of development and production for the Trent XWB, making this city a centre for aviation excellence!

2015 marks the centenary of Rolls-Royce in aviation. Come along to see how far aero engines have come in 100 years and where they might go next. Find out more about how the Trent XWB was made, the people that made it and some of the technology that makes it so special.
