Owls at the Museum
Saturday 25 May, 10am – 3pm Museum and Art Gallery Make friends with one of our live owl visitors then colour and collage a beautiful bird mask to wear.
Meet the Harvest Mice!
Sunday 26 May, 10am – 3pm Museum and Art Gallery Come and see real, live, tiny harvest mice. Complete our Mouse Tail Trail and make your own Hickory Dickory Clock to take home.
What a lovely long Logboat!
Monday 27 May, 11am Museum and Art Gallery Take a closer look at and find out more about a 3000 year old Bronze Age Logboat.
Exploring Derby’s Metal Makers
Wednesday 29 May Museum and Art Gallery, 10am – 3pm & Pickford’s House 10am - 12 noon and 1pm – 3pm Meet our very own live stick insects at the Museum’s Nature Gallery or take part in our popular ‘Mini beast hunt’ in Pickford’s wonderful garden. Make a mini-beast to take home.

Time Travel Day

Meet Vikings, Romans, Egyptians and Knights of Old at the Museum, or meet Georgian ladies and gentlemen at Pickford’s House! Take part in timethemed crafts to make and take home.
Monday 27 May, 2pm Museum and Art Gallery In this handling session you can find out about what made Derby ‘The hub of industrial Britain’ by getting up close to what Derby people made from metal.

Saturday 1 June, 10am – 3pm Museum and Art Gallery Come and make bold and beautiful paper flowers. Older children and adults can try their hand at origami flowers. Sunday 2 June, 10am – 3pm Museum and Art Gallery Decorate a paper plate and find the animals in our Porcelain Gallery.
