Our facilities include high specification computing labs with software for designing experiments, and a range of physiological recording equipment. Our observation suite has video recording facilities and a state of the art eye tracker, which allows you to analyse eye movements. We’re not involved in animal research.
Your career Why choose this course? This course is accredited as conferring eligibility for the Graduate basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society, provided the minimum standard of a second class honours is achieved. This is the first step to becoming a professional psychologist. In the 2012 National Student Survey, 95% of our students were satisfied with how enthusiastic we were in our teaching and how intellectually stimulating the course is.
This course will prepare you for further professional training in psychology. You’ll develop transferable skills, such as good communication and IT skills, which are invaluable for a variety of careers. Previous graduates have qualified in clinical and educational psychology, enrolled for PhDs and worked in other professions where psychological knowledge is relevant such as teaching or working in mental health settings.

Psychology is the scientific study of human thought and behaviour. You’ll cover the social, developmental, cognitive and biological dimensions of behaviour and the applications of psychology in a range of areas. Our staff are active in research so you’ll be kept right up to date with current developments.

Entry requirements: Academic – 260 UCAS tariff points, of which at least 220 must be from your International Baccalaureate or equivalent qualification.
