Have you been searching for a unique and relaxing weekend getaway that won’t break the bank? We’re lucky to live in a state with so many unique natural attractions that bring adventure and excitement right into our own backyards. If you’re a fan of gorgeous waterfalls (and, honestly, who isn’t?), here’s the ideal weekend itinerary for seeing the best of Michigan’s watery wonders.
Of course, feel free to adjust the route to fit your needs, interests, and timeline — but this is a great schedule to follow if you want take planning out of your own hands! In total, the driving time is approximately seven hours, and we’ve planned this trip to take place over the course of a Saturday and Sunday. 1. Tahquamenon Falls (Paradise)
tahquamenon never fails to impress, no matter how many times you’ve visited. With over 46,000 square acres of wilderness around the falls to explore, you’ve stepped into a true natural wonderland. When you’re ready to grab a bite to eat, head to the neary Brown fisheries fish House for a delectably fresh seafood meal. 2. sable Falls (seney)

this one is a no-brainer: begin your trip with a short hike to Michigan’s most famous falls.
After lunch, make the hour-long drive to Sable falls. they’re slightly smaller than tahquamenon, but no less delightful. Enjoy a relaxing hike through the wooded areas surrounding the falls and cool off after your hike with a visit to the nearby beach. If you want to make the trip to the lakefront, though,
