June 10th — Just got my yard work done after a long three days at our Field Meet and my gosh, what a well-organized fun time it was. With all the bikers together, all the events that went on, the vendors, the rides we went on and especially all the planning Region 3 did with Wally and his crew from the Westside RV Campground—WOW! I can’t say enough about all the hard work Pam Fischer did putting all this together. Pam, without all of your planning and hard work, none of us would even have had a chance to take vacation time to be together and enjoy all the friendships we have all across the state from Region to Region. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope you are feeling better and God Bless.

On June 5th we had our Freedom Rally in Lansing. With the awesome turnout, we got a lot of exposure and our legislators really enjoyed speaking in front of all the bikers there. Hopefully, we can help get some of them back. When traveling across the state, you get a chance to see if all your hard work is paying off. I got to say that there were many “Look Twice Save a Life Motorcycles are Everywhere” signs in yards and businesses. All I can say is that every time I noticed one, I’m very happy and satisfied with all the Regions who are working so hard spreading the word about motorcycle awareness. George Bennett and I had the chance to see a demonstration about motorcycle safety and what is required to get a cycle endorsement. The demo was put on by Vince Consiglio, our President of ABATE and two of his coaches, and they are darn good riders. The event was put on by the Motorcycle Action Committee spearheaded by Debbie Parinello and Vince and attended by Eric Line from MDOT and Chad Teachout from the Secretary of State Office. We have been teaching a lot of classes lately. I had the chance to speak at the Memorial Day Parade in Milan and devoted part of the speech to the young Americans who will someday be our leaders and military personnel. I can tell you that we will be in good hands with the next generation of our young people because I get to meet a lot of them when we teach classes about Motorcycle Awareness in high schools.

May the road rise to meet you and the wind always be at your back!
