MAN! It’s September already! Where has the riding season gone? Back on July 8th, I was in a motorcycle accident; first one in 30 years of riding. What happened? A young guy pulled right out in front of me. I laid on the rear brake, threw my rear-end to the left to go around him but he panicked and stopped. My left saddlebag rail caught his bumper and before I knew it—me and my 2009 Ultra Classic were over on our sides. Praise God I had no major injuries or broken bones; just a little road rash, a bump on the back of my head, a very mild fractured rib, a sprained right wrist and a whole lot of bruising on my right hip and lower back. That still hurts a bit today. But what I want to write about this month isn’t so much about my accident, but what the Lord has done in my life since the accident. About His loving care, protection and provision. Yes, I was in an accident but God’s loving hand was upon me—it could have been waaaay worse. The Bible says in Psalm 34:7: “the Angel of the lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.” I truly believe that the Lord’s angels were and are encamped around me and all those that believe in and have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He protects us!! I also want to talk about how the Lord is taking care of the repairs to my bike. If you didn’t know, under the corrupt no-fault laws here in the state of Michigan, motorcycles are not covered. So, when there’s a car/motorcycle accident and the driver of the car is at fault (even with full coverage) the repairs to the motorcycle are not covered. So, it goes back to the motorcycle insurance and if there’s no collision policy, the motorcycle repair is not covered. That was my case. Philippians 4:19 says: “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Since the accident, this is what the Lord has done: Two of my brothers at Victory Biker Church have “blessed my socks off.” One brother, who had bought a new HD a couple months ago, gave me his 2005 Ultra Classic. The second brother is a professional car/ motorcycle painter and an air-brush artist. He is fixing and painting the damaged areas on my 2009 Ultra Classic FOR FREE! All I have to cover is the paint and broken latches. GOD IS GOOOOOD! Please hear me out: I am not more important to God than anyone else. What He has done and continues to do for me, He will also do for everyone else. He loves you! The key is to be in a relationship with Him. There is only one way… Jesus Christ. John 14:6: “Jesus told him, “i am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” God loves bikers and so do I!!!
