nce you enter through the massive, green hand-carved doors, you will be whisked away to south of the border. Inside this lovely Mexican hacienda is a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The live festive music encircles you in the expansive dining room decorated with trompe l’oeil pots and colorful window murals painted by artisans. The carved rustic woods, swirling ironwork and traditional colors of Mexico all add a unique and decorative touch to the interior. Owners Robert and Lisa Delgado are proud of the family’s 53-year restaurant heritage and legendary status throughout the Coachella Valley. Their extensive menu showcases a creative fusion of Colonial Mexican and contemporary California cuisine. Sizzling Beef, Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas, hand rolled Enchiladas enriched by a sweet mole sauce, Pepita-Crusted Mahi Mahi, marinated center-cut Pork Chops with Mango Jalapeno Chutney – they are all here. What better way to spend a summer evening than out under the misted tropical Palapa patio .... sipping a chilled margarita and enjoying warm crispy tortilla chips with zesty homemade salsa? And during the winter months relaxing around the cozy outdoor fireplace with a Mexican coffee? Whether you dine outside or in, this is the perfect place for a romantic evening out, a luncheon that unites friends, or a family dinner with the kids. ...so there’s no need to travel far this summer when you can have a Mexican get-away at Las Casuelas Quinta. Open daily at 10:30 a.m., serving breakfast, lunch, dinner with live entertainment! Happy Hour: Mon-Fri, 3:30-6:30. 78-480 Highway 111, La Qunita (corner Hwy. 111 and Washington).
