Palm Springs Windmill Tours Celebrate 40 Years of Wind Farms

The Palm Springs Windmill Tours celebrates the first Southern California wind farm established in 1982. In honor of this anniversary, the Tour Center developed new exhibits on wind energy paying homage to the first wind farm in the San Gorgonio Pass.

“We are the only windmill tour in the United States that offers in-depth tours on a private wind farm, states Annette Said, Marketing Manager. “Since pivoting from our Bus Tours to our Self-Driving Tours with a curated APP, it has proven that there is a thirst for knowledge about renewable energy and has allowed us to expand to more offerings.”

where thousands of people pass them as they enter and leave the Valley. “Because of the increased interest in eco-tours, we have a diverse demographic from families to retirees that are asking very smart questions,” states Ms. Said.

The Palm Springs Windmill Tours not only tell a story of 40 years of wind farms in Southern California but also provide information on wind energy, how a wind turbine works, the history of wind power, and explain why the San Gorgonio Pass is one of the most consistently windy places in the United States. After the tour, you will better understand renewable energy as a whole.

Hour-long Guided Golf Cart Tours are $55.00 per person. There is no walking on this tour except to take a quick selfie picture on the last stop of the operating GE Wind Turbine.

VIP Guided Tours are 1 1/2 to 2 hours and are $100 per person. On these, your group is accompanied by your own personal tour guide to allow for questions and answers with beyond-the-barricade photo opportunities next to some of the large modern turbines on the wind farm.

NFL BOSS GETS 64 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR INSANITY!

It resembles the appearance of a statesman: NFL boss Roger Goodell (63) enters the AB room in the media center in Phoenix on Wednesday.

Around him was a massive crowd of people. PR consultants, schedulers, and no less than seven visible bodyguards. In front of the press conference room are dozens of police officers. At the Munich game in midNovember, people had to be sniffed by bomb dogs if they wanted to get into a room with the big boss. That was dispensed with this time.

Why all this?!

Goodell is the boss of the biggest sports league in the world. In 2021, the NFL made an incredible $17 billion in revenue. He has been in office as league boss since 2006. At that time, the league made only $600 million in revenue. Accordingly, Goodell is highly respected by the clubs’ owners and princely paid!

As the New York Times has revealed, Goodell earned an incredible 64 million dollars annually between 2019 and 2021! NBA boss Adam Silver, on the other hand, is said to get just $10 million.

And Goodell’s dough will be even more! Half of his salary is said to have been bonuses. In 2024 his contract as boss expires. Behind the scenes, he has already negotiated the following terms for a new four-year contract, which are expected to be made official soon:

His base salary will rise from $30 million to $60 million. In addition, he will get his own private jet, which he will be allowed to use for the rest of his life - and, of course, he will not have to pay for the surrounding costs.

He has also apparently negotiated something for his family: His “close circle” - leaves plenty of room for interpretation, of course - will have their health insurance paid for by the

NFL until the end of their lives. Why all this? The team owners are raking in big bucks through Goodell. The NFL boss has announced plans to boost the league’s profits to $25 billion by 2027. To be able to meet this goal, several European teams are expected.

In Phoenix, he says nothing at the presser, where his personal press secretary selects questions very carefully. He says the NFL never looks at revenue and income, only growth opportunities.

Goodell is loved by bosses but hated by fans. He is booed mercilessly at public appearances. “That’s great! It just shows how connected our fans are to the sport,” he says at the press conference. Of course! That’s why he also has himself protected as a precaution for fear of attacks ...

President Joe Biden, his second State of the Union address was about his political future

Biden wanted to use the celebratory moment and the high ratings to prepare America for his anticipated candidacy for reelection in 2024! And convince voters that “America’s grandpa” deserves a second term. Despite persistent public doubts about his presidency.

Shortly after 9 p.m. local time, the oldest President in US history entered the lectern. The 535 congressmen and senators clapped in the state hall at the beginning.

Political realities quickly followed the ceremonial pomp: in one half of the room, the Democrats jumped to a standing ovation, while in the other half, there were boos and insults. Finally, Marjorie Taylor Greene yelled, “Liar!” Biden tried to break the ice with a few jokes right from the start. Then he often dueled with disruptor’s.

With millions in front of TV sets,

Covid pandemic, got inflation under control, and would be the driving force behind military support to Ukraine. Instead, America is investing in infrastructure again. At the top of the list of successes: the lowest

change and social injustice.

America’s history would be one of resilience; the USA is the only country in the world that emerges stronger from every crisis; Biden said proudly: 12 million jobs would have been created in two years, Covid would no longer “dictate our lives.” He praised US democracy as “unyielding,” despite the attacks of his predecessor Donald Trump (76), which culminated in his supporters storming the Capitol.

Biden: “We are better positioned than any other country on earth!” And later in the speech, another shot of patriotism: “No one should bet against America!”

Supply chains must become “Made in the USA.”

Biden rattled off achievements halfway through his first term.

The US would have shaken off the

unemployment rate in 50 years, most recently 3.4 percent. This would set the course for the fight against climate

The President also wanted to score points with the slogan “Buy American”: He urged that future federal construction projects should only use materials manufactured in the USA. Biden: “American roads, bridges, and highways will be built with American products!”

ANOTHER MIRACLE RESCUE IN TURKEY BABY

RECOVERED ALIVE AFTER 128 HOURS!

Iskenderun (Turkey) - The number of earthquake victims in the Turkish-Syrian border region continues to rise, already exceeding 28,000, with thousands still missing. Rescue workers work tirelessly around the clock, always looking for a miracle. And such a miracle happened on Saturday!

Workers managed to retrieve a twomonth-old infant from piles of rubble in the municipality of Iskenderun.

People around clapped and cheered loudly as rescuers rescued the tiny body from the rubble. The baby had previously struggled to survive for 128 hours before being found.

A snapshot that is as moving as it is hopeful. While the ambulance sirens wail in the background, the infant

looks wide-eyed into the faces of his rescuers. They inspect the infant for external damage. But at first glance, no injuries are visible. A miracle indeed ...

As the Turkish news agency “Anadolu” reported on Saturday, the baby was taken to a nearby hospital. Recent footage from the social network Twitter shows the infant on Sunday morning looking happily into a camera and making happy squealing sounds.

These infants were also rescued while still six days old

Nearly 50 kilometers south of Iskenderun, in Hatay province, local rescuers found little Hamza. The seven-month-old baby was bleeding from the cheek, and sharp boulders had cut his skin.

The colorful clothes worn by the little boy are badly affected by the

events of the past 139 hours. The sweater and pants are dirty and torn, shoes the infant has not put them on. And yet: he survived! Videos from the social networks show Hamza lying in the arms of the men who saved his life.

He was also taken away by ambulance for further searches.

What these two fates have in common: Both babies were found alone, and there is still no trace of the parents ...

The recovery of the three-year-old girl Amira Amir was different. She was rescued with her father, Adnan Amir, from a collapsed building in Hatay.

Father and daughter had to endure 140 hours in the rubble, fighting for survival before they were finally redeemed on Saturday.

“USA SHOOTS DOWN THIRD UFO! IS THE BALLOON WAR STARTING NOW”

The U.S. Air Force shot down a third unidentified flying object on Sunday evening. F-16 fighter jets fired a Sidewinder missile at the object over Lake Huron on the border with Canada.

Several U.S. media outlets reported unanimously, including CNN and ABC television networks, citing security sources. The Pentagon confirmed the launch a little later, saying that U.S. President Joe Biden had given the order to shoot it down.

The object had been traveling at an altitude of about six kilometers. The trajectory and altitude had raised concerns that the object could pose a threat to civil aviation.

The threat from flying objects escalates daily: Last Monday, an American F-22 fighter jet shot down a 60-meter-tall giant balloon from China.

long. The object, initially described by officials as “unknown” and the size of a small car sank into the icy sea after being shot down from an altitude of 12,100 meters.

Saturday: Jets soar on orders from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), this time

described it as “cylindrical.”

IS THE BALLOON WAR STARTING NOW?

Is a second front now breaking open for the West alongside the Ukraine war? Is China declaring the balloon war on us? First, it should be noted: In the case of the last three launches, it remained unclear for the time being whether they also came from China.

Officials described the Canadian object as a “small, metallic balloon with a tethered payload” hovering at 12,100 meters. The Alaska object was also a balloon, then-Senator Chuck Schumer (72, Democrat) confirmed.

How bare the nerves are already, showed an incident on Saturday in the U.S. state of Montana. A new flying object allegedly appeared where the first China balloon was already sighted. As a result, the airspace was closed for a short time, and the Air Force was already planning reconnaissance flights.

The 14-story-high flying eavesdropper had crossed the U.S. with antennas and high-tech equipment, trailing military installations.

Friday: alarm again, this time in Alaska! The Air Force does not wait

in northern Canada: an American F-22 aircraft uses an “AIM-9 Sidewinder” missile to end the flight of another mysterious object. Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (51), who had a crisis phone call with U.S. President Joe Biden (80) before the shootdown,

Then the all-clear from NORAD: It was a “false alarm”!

Then on the weekend, China claimed to have discovered a “mysterious flying object” over the

People’s Republic. But the UFO sighting sounds more like a fabrication with which the regime wants to distract from its own spy flights.

Nevertheless, Beijing is behind at least one of the recent balloon missions. And Washington has already gathered enough evidence to refute the Chinese fairy tale of a “weather balloon.” To that end, it became known that four other China balloons had violated U.S. airspace in recent years. At that time, the Pentagon did not take the threat so seriously.

The People’s Liberation Army relies on spy balloons because they stay in one place longer than satellites circling in Earth’s orbit. This allows the Chinese military to take pictures of U.S. bases in peace.

However, satellites have one advantage: they do not infringe on a state’s sovereignty, foreign policy expert Jonathan Cristol states.

“But satellites are less useful than aircraft or, it seems, balloons for intercepting primarily ground communications.” They shoot highresolution photos and videos; radars

For days, objects entering U.S. airspace have kept security forces busy: here, FBI officials investigate a Chinese spy balloon

collect data. Balloons would also be much harder to track. And less risk of “military confrontation.” Beijing would have calculated “to get away with it,” Cristol added: “That worked in the past, but will be much harder in the future.

The People’s Liberation Army relies on spy balloons because they stay in one place longer than satellites circling in Earth’s orbit. This allows the Chinese military to take pictures of U.S. bases at leisure.

Mahomes triumphs in the spectacle game!

A shock for Mahomes & Co.?

Not at all. The Chiefs have an answer ready and score with their first attempt. Then, Mahomes finds his favorite target player, Travis Kelce (33), with the game’s second touchdown after just seven minutes (7:7). What a spectacle to start!

Kelce is in the first sibling duel in Super Bowl history; against the Eagles, he also meets his older brother Jason Kelce (35). Mother Donna Kelce takes turns crossing their fingers in the stands.

He was already the most valuable player of the season, and now he’s also one of the bravest Super Bowl heroes ever!

Quarterback superstar Patrick Mahomes (27) leads his Kansas City Chiefs to the title in a football thriller against the Philadelphia Eagles - despite injury! In the end, the spectacular game in front of 67,827 fans in Arizona scraped the Super Bowl record (75 points in 1995) by just two points.

In the 38:35 triumph, Mahomes starts the game already battered and is caught shortly before the halftime break on the already injured right ankle. Mahomes initially limps off the field but returns in the second half, taking care of that.

With a pained face, Mahomes torments himself over the playing time, even gaining necessary yards for his team on practically just one leg. What a fighter’s heart!

In the end, he even eclipsed the

record performance of his quarterback opponent Jalen Hurts (24), who, as the youngest quarterback in the history of the mega event, scored three touchdowns himself and threw a touchdown pass. That’s never happened before!

The decisive scene just two minutes before the end: Mahomes Jerick McKinnon (30) plays free deep in the Eagle’s half. The running back runs until just before the end zone but cleverly refuses the possible touchdown and kneels to give the opponent no more time for an answer. Instead, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker (27) decides the thriller with a field goal – eight seconds before the end! Spectacle start!

Eagles quarterback hurts had provided Philadelphia’s lightning start. However, the Eagles manage to surprise the Chiefs with the first drive. After under 5 minutes, Hurts was pushed the last yard over the magic line by his offense – touchdown!

Kicker Jake Elliott (28) makes the quick 7-0 lead perfect with an extra point.

But the Eagles open the second section again with an early highlight! Hurts with the very long pass, in which the Chief’s defense completely misjudged. AJ Brown grabs for a touchdown in the end zone. Plus an extra point, the Eagles take a 14-7 lead.

A moment of shock for Hurts, then a few minutes later! The quarterback is attacked aggressively by the defense - and suddenly drops the ball. yeeeeeee! Nick Bolton says thank you and runs almost half the field for a touchdown (with an extra point) –14:14.

Hurts, however, quickly forgets the mega-goat and puts his team back in the lead with his second touchdown (21:14).

Then the injury drama about Mahomes, who holds the ball so long that T.J. Edwards was knocked out with a tackle. He hits the MVP of the season on the already injured right ankle. Mahomes limps off the field.

It gets even worse for the Chiefs: The Eagles raise seconds before the break with a field goal. Ten points ahead at halftime – 24:14.

The start in the second half then belongs to the Chiefs. Despite the pain, Mahomes struggles until just before the end zone, Pacheco completes the touchdown. Only 24:21

Baby surprise at Rihanna’s performance!

Her fans had to wait seven years for this moment – Rihanna (34) is back on stage and immediately caused a bang.

Before her performance, even the superstar seemed a little nervous while waiting. She was still rehearsing, dancing around on the spot. Then it went up! The fans are in seventh heaven, and Rihanna is in the air.

“Lift Me Up” - Riri is back!

Rihanna in red, the dancers in white. 13 minutes of perfect choreography, a spectacular show.

The show begins at dizzy heights. It is pulled up on a narrow platform – secured, of course. “Umbrella,” “Diamond,” “Only Girl (in the World),” the Queen brings her biggest hits from 17 years into the halftime show.

For a long time, it was speculated whether other stars would make an appearance. But: Rihanna is more than enough.

But the show quickly became a minor matter. Instead, fans on social networks were puzzled over the singer’s possible re-pregnancy. If you take a closer look, her stomach looks slightly arched. The baby rumors have been circulating for a while. After her press conference on Thursday, she was asked several times under her posts whether she was pregnant again.

She appeared there conspicuously “veiled” and did not allow a look at her stomach. Her tight outfit in the halftime show then let the bomb burst. A representative from Rihanna’s management then confirmed the pregnancy to The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

She already has a son with her partner, A$AP Rocky (34), who was born in May 2022.

Comeback after a seven-year break - football becomes a minor matter! Your fans have been waiting so much for this moment. She has not given a concert since her world tour seven years ago. Then, she gave birth to a son and took care of her business (clothing line, cosmetics). Now her stage comeback.

Football fans weren’t just excited. Finally, Rihanna’s comeback distracts too much from the sport.

“A Rihanna concert is interrupted by a football game? Weird, but whatever” – this T-shirt became a mega-seller. Model Cara Delevingne (30) even wore it to the stadium. A slight provocation for every hardcore football fan.

Fellow singer Adele (34) explained that she only goes to the Super Bowl to see Rihanna. Tennis legend Serena Williams (41) tweeted with a wink at the start: “The countdown to Rihanna has begun.” Her predecessors, Shakira (46/2020) and Katy Perry (38/2015), wished her every success for the show on Twitter. Her next mega performance will follow in a month at the latest. She was nominated for an Oscar for the first time for her song “Lift Me Up” from the Marvel blockbuster “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” First, of course, she will perform. Then, later in the evening, she wants to shine golden.

New York couple sprays dove for baby shower - dead!

A couple wanted to proudly announce the gender of their child at their baby shower. But their idea for the “Gender Reveal Party” cost a pigeon its life.

“Gender Reveal” parties are a kind of custom in the United States, enjoying growing popularity there. Couples announce the gender of their child in a variety of ways, such as balloons filled with tinsel bursts. If the tinsel is blue, it will be a boy; if it is pink, it will be a girl.

But expectant parents in New York had something else in mind: They bought a pigeon - and sprayed the poor bird with pink paint, as the British “Mirror” reports.

The animal welfare organization “Wild Bird Fund” found the completely malnourished animal on the street, barely alive, and its feathers completely stuck together. So the animal rights activists christened the pigeon “Flamingo” took it into their care, and treated it.

All efforts were in vain: “Flamingo” died on Tuesday. As veterinarians explained, the reason is the inhalation of toxic fumes from the pink dye.

The Wild Bird Fund shared on Twitter, “We are unfortunate that Flamingo, our sweet pink pigeon, has passed away. Unfortunately, despite our efforts to reduce the effects of the dye fumes and keep him calm and stable, he passed

away during the night.”

Keepers initially tried to save the pigeon by bathing it to remove the pink dye. They also used heat, oxygen, and medication to reverse or at least reduce the effect of the toxin on the bird.

However, it was unable to eat and had trouble digesting food.

Further, the animal welfare organization stated, “We hope the story of his far too short life will help prevent further cases of such thoughtless cruelty. Letting pigeons fly sounds romantic. But if you strip away the kitsch and Instagram photos, it’s the equivalent of abandoning your helpless pets on the side of the road. That’s no way to celebrate anything.”

President Joe Biden, his second State of the Union address

Meager poll numbers

With 43 percent popularity, the Democrat’s poll numbers are meager. And few seem to have noticed anything about Biden’s successes: 62 percent think he has done “little to nothing at all” for the country.

“Let’s finish the job!” What do you mean by that? He needs more time in the Oval Office, an appeal for his reelection.

AT STATUS ADDRESS TO THE NATION

Who is the US first lady kissing?

But the democrat experienced first-hand that the opposition had grown stronger: Instead of Nancy Pelosi (Democrat, 82), Republican Kevin McCarthy (58), “speaker” and head of the new Republican majority in the House of Representatives, sat right behind him. He plans a series of underground committees, for example, on the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan or the secret files scandal. Allegedly corrupt deals by Biden’s son Hunter (53) will also be examined. A taste of the toxic sentiment: When Biden lamented that 70,000 people a year are dying from the death drug fentanyl, someone yelled, “This is your fault!” And then, “Close the border!”

Biden’s hymn of praise on his own behalf will hardly convince Republicans; they are also firing at the White House on other fronts: the migrant crisis would have escalated with record numbers of illegal border crossings. Military aid to Kyiv would be like a bottomless pit. International tensions would have grown, with the recent drama about the Chinese spy balloon being the best example. So instead, Biden promised an economy that moves everyone forward: “Jobs are returning, pride is returningthanks to the decisions we’ve made over the past two years - this is a blueprint for the working class to rebuild America and their lives. Some of Biden’s new proposals are controversial, notably a “billionaire tax” and a quadrupling of the tax on share buybacks.

Ad only 37 percent of their own Democrats welcome a new candidacy. His old age is considered the main hurdle: he would be 86 at the end of his second term. “Biden is a great president, but he shouldn’t run again,” New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg said. Despite the friendly fire, it is expected that Biden will probably make his re-election public in March or April.

The usual spectacle with guests of honor was not to be missed

26 people with symbolic power were invited by First Lady Jill Biden (71) alone, including the parents of police victim Tire Nichols or the Ukrainian ambassador in Washington, Oksana Markarova.

Biden in her direction: “We will stand by your side as long as it lasts!”

Biden extended his hand to the Republicans, at least symbolically. He wanted to work with Congress: “Fighting for the sake of fighting, power for the sake of power, conflict for the sake of conflict does not get us anywhere,” he said. The middle class, America’s backbone, must be strengthened, and the country must be united.

The speech echoed the slogan:

The greeting of First Lady Jill Biden and the husband of US Vice President Kamala Harris at US President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address leads to wild speculation!

Reason: Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff greeted each other with a kiss on Tuesday evening shortly before the so-called State of the Union Address in the US House of Representatives. On the mouth? At least, that’s how it looked from the camera angle... Even if it’s not clearly recognizable.

Conservative tabloids like the New York Post spoke of a “strange kiss” and changed the term “State of the Union” to “Smooch of the Union”loosely translated “smooch of the Union.”

The conservative television network

Fox News, known for its critical reporting on the President, wrote without a question mark that Jill Biden and Emhoff “kissed on the lips.” Numerous Internet users also got into the debate about the kiss.

(r.) made up for his mistake from the 1st quarter with his field goal in the closing seconds

- and then it gets really tight!

The Eagles only got one field goal before the last break, but the Chiefs started the previous quarter with a touchdown from Toney after a clever

Mahomes pass. 28:27 - the first lead for the Chiefs, who are now getting going!

After an Eagles punt, Toney carries the leather back close to

the in-zone with a mega run for 65 yards. Mahomes again finds the gap in a sleepy Philadelphia defenseMoore can increase to 35:27 with the next touchdown plus an extra point completely undisturbed.

The decision? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Again, Hurts compensated with a run. First touchdown, then another two-point conversion - five minutes before the end, it’s 35:35. Pure excitement!

Only eight seconds before the end, Butker (27) decides the thriller with a field goal to 38:35. A last desperate pass from Hurts is far too short and ends up in nothing.

Mahomes wins his second Super Bowl in just four years with the Chiefs!
