Museum of History
Granite Museum Creates Historic Outdoor Journey By Pamela Price The Museum of History in Granite, covering 2,800 acres adjacent to I-8, Exit 64 at the Center of the World Drive ( near Yuma, AZ ), is easy to locate when you catch a glimpse of the Museum’s 25-foot section of the original Eiffel Tower installed at the
entrance. “That’s the last landmark you would expect to see en route to Yuma, AZ,” said my photographer. No, this is not a mirage, but rather an outdoor museum like none other. Having met the creators of this remarkable homage to world history, Jacques-André Istel
and his wife, Felicity, museum maven Sue Townsley said, “this historically inspired homage to world history enhances traditional history books.” After viewing history immortalized in granite from Battles of the Civil War and The Mayflower and the Plymouth Colony to A Giant
Step, an homage to American Astronaut Neil Armstrong, you realize this outdoor history lesson is a unique statement. Nate Garvelstein, a ninthgrade visitor from Boston, commented, “the engravings reveal history in a new light, reflecting the sun, you can wander from one era to another, the facts are literally etched in stone! History books aside, this unique outdoor
Museum is one of a kind!” Meticulously curated by Mr. Istel, this outdoor panorama of world history is diplomatic as well, their exhibit “American Beverage and Food” delving into a well-balanced menu of food favorites from hamburgers— etched in granite, of course—to regional American originals Continues on Page 7

A petition has begun circulating to demand that the university nullify the degrees of such graduates as Cruz (R-Texas), US Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) and White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. The petitioners argued that by supporting President
Donald Trump’s allegations that Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory was fraudulent, the Harvard graduates helped create a “white-supremacist uprising” at the US Capitol. Cruz, a 1997 Harvard Law School graduate, spearheaded an effort in the Senate to force an investigation of alleged fraud in the 2020 election. Both Cruz and Crenshaw demanded an end to the violence during the January 6 Capitol riot. While Crenshaw supported an amicus brief asking the US Supreme Court to hear a lawsuit seeking to overturn Biden’s win, he also
