music – thankfully, there are always the golden oldies that audiences of a certain age cling to and with good reason. They’re familiar; they’re warm, cozy, and deliver music and lyrics to which that age group can understand and relate. The Palm Canyon Theatre of Palm Springs (PCT), now in its 23rd season of presenting

Phil Mickelson will turn 50 this year with an upcoming birthday. Phil said he still plans on playing in the PGA tournaments as his golf game is at top form. He has changed his diet and exercise programs, so it shows with a weight loss. He said he feels

better than he did in his 20’s and his game is right after working on it in his weeks off. He is looking forward to a new year and says his duties as Host of this tournament will test his game as he has so many new responsibilities. There have been a lot of changes in the American Express tournament, too, with the monies being donating to local charities. They say that all the funds raised will still stay locally to Valley Charities. Mickelson was asked a lot about his game and how he

dealt with a few bad months of play last year. They asked him about his health and the regimen he adheres to now. He said that he didn’t realize the power of social media when discussions of slow play were addressed. His fans and other golfers can now connect more with social media like Instagram, Facebook, or twitter. The trials of being Host this year didn’t help his golf game. He did not make the
