Support Ukraine Ukrainian Americans Rally in Sacramento as Russia Invades Homeland By Desert Star Staff The Ukrainian American community rallied on the state Capitol steps Thursday, expressing outrage over Russia’s ongoing invasion

of Ukraine. Sacramento is home to about 100,000 Ukrainian Americans watching events unfold in horror. Vladimir Skots, chairman of Ukrainian American

House, a group based in Sacramento which brings the Ukrainian diaspora together, said he supports the solid financial sanctions imposed by President Joe Biden.

This second speaker was the very wellknown presidential historian, Jon Meacham. This man was a Pulitzer Prize-winning author. A very prestigious award. He is considered one of America’s prominent intellectuals. Meacham is a renowned commentator and is often seen on CNN and other shows and news networks. His books have been on the Best Seller List. He can bring his knowledge of politics and religion to tell people how it
