Story and Photos by Pat Krause The 8th Annual Warburton Golf Tournament and galas, Four Days of Fun, was held on March 1st thru March 4th. The Warburton as everyone calls it is one of the best ways to spend four days of golf and parties and help a great cause. The event raises money for St. Judes children’s hospital. They have raised over 7 million dollars since it started and they raised over 2.2 Million dollars last year. The hope was to increase even more this year, and they accomplished that goal. The event starts with a Songwriters night where top songwriters play the songs they have written that are the songs everyone knows. This is one

night where guests get to know the men that have written the songs they know and love. The next day is golf on two courses as the event has grown where two sessions are needed for all the people playing. The classes are performed at the Marriott Desert Springs course and the Classic Club course. The golfers play both courses on Sat. and Sun. There is an awards ceremony on Sunday after play at the Classic Club Golf Course. Each foursome has one celebrity playing with them. The second night is the much anticipated Jam Session Actor-Phillip Keene, Keith Fox and Host and actor-Patrick Warburton. Photo by Pat Krause by famous musicians. Cabaret features some of the most memorable songs in theatre history, including “Cabaret,” “Willkommen,” and “Maybe This Time.” Creative Bios Joe Masteroff (Book). Born in 1919 in Philadelphia, he had only one dream from infancy: to write for the theatre. After the

essential lonely childhood and four-year stint in the Air Force, he came to New York to face his future: book writer or book seller? Happily, luck intervened. Before long he had three shows on Broadway bearing his name: The Warm Peninsula starring Julie Harris, and two musicals She Loves Me and Cabaret, for which he was the book writer.
