Artist: Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Title: World Record (Reprise)
You might like if you enjoy: Neil Young, Nils Lofgren, early Pearl Jam
Tell me more: World Record marks Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s second album of new material released in 2022, coming only four months after the July release of Toast. Coproduced by Rick Rubin and Young, the album is bolstered by Young’s long-time on-and-off again outfit Crazy Horse (bassist Billy Talbot, drummer Ralph Molina, guitarist-accordion player Nils Lofgren). While the future of the planet is far from certain, Young carries out hope for our endangered home via the lovely opener “Love Earth.”
BY ROBERT KINSLERYoung unleashes a sonic firestorm of blues-drenched grunge on “Break The Chain,” a song that certifies Young and company can rock as powerfully as ever. The lyrics are bleak to be sure, as evidenced by the final verse: “Let’s break the chain / No human home and scarce little time / Break the chain / Break the chain.”
Elsewhere, Young’s concern for the earth is revisited via the more experimental accordionadorned “The World (Is In Trouble Now)” where he sings: “The flowers growing from the ground / The sunlight shining down / My memories of the past delight / In all the things I found / Because the earth has held me so.” Other powerful originals on the collection include the beautiful mid-tempo rocker “I Walk With You (Earth Ringtone)” anti-war plea “Walkin’ On The Road (To The Future),”
yearning distortion-andfeedback wrapped “Chevrolet, and gentle Americana-flavored “This Old Planet,” the latter bolstered by the layered tandem sounds of accordion and piano. Information: NeilYoungArchives.com.
Artist: Richard Öhrn Title: Sounds in English (Big Stir Records) You might like if you enjoy: Matthew Sweet, The Hollies, Richard X. Heyman, In Deed Tell me more: Uppsala, Sweden’s Richard Öhrn is out with his wonderful debut Sounds in English, an amazing introduction to his talents as singer, songwriter, multiinstrumentalist and producer. A member of the Swedish rock outfit In Deed that impressed in the early ‘00s with At 4000 Meters, Öhrn’s new solo effort allows him to celebrate the
pioneering sounds of a slew of his notable heroes — The Zombies, The Hollies, Simon & Garfunkel, The Searchers — all while fusing those classic sounds fully with his own creative songcraft. The dozen tracks that span the disc are a true delight, with melody, harmony and emotion offered up in equal measure. The jangly opener “Seal Your Move” is bolstered by the artist’s work on the 12-string Burns guitar as well as his melancholy mining vocals. The lovely folk song “5th Month Announcement” and dashing power pop sortie “Time’s Not Running Out” are other early highlights on Sounds in English. “The Coolest Manners” is an immersive baroque pop gem, tapping into bona fide Zombies territory. The infectious melodic rocker “Take This Bottle,” jazzy “Every Shade,” dramatic “If I Could Read Your Mind” and sumptuous closer “Spanish Moon” are among the other shining originals on the album. Title: Americana Soul (Paramour Records)
You might like if you enjoy: Johnnyswim, Americana
Tell me more: Americana Soul is the perfect introduction to The Jorgensens. A Minnesota-based group headed by married couple Kurt and Brianna Jorgensen, the troupe blends blues, soul, roots, jazz, R&B and others styles across the aptly titled Americana Soul. Opening the record is the inspired “Old Black Crow,” a track featuring Kurt Jorgensen’s strong lead vocals and muscular slide guitar work as well as a wonderful Latin funk finale. The followup “Miles” features Brianna Jorgensen’s signature soprano positioned amidst a soundscape that includes slide guitar and the artful use of horns. The soulful “Dark Road” blends soul and gospel flourishes with some flashy guitar further enhancing the track. “Shake It” weaves and rolls via a deep groove whilst layered with powerful lead and harmony vocals. The blues ballad “Leave Your Light On” finds the couple sharing lead vocals and enhancing the traditional soundscape with creative harmonies. “State Line” is a luxurious foray that showcases Brianna Jorgensen’s top-tier singing. Americana Soul is welcome addition to the growing Americana music movement. Information: TheJorgensens.com.
Red Hawk, a leader in aftermarket replacement parts that provides golf car parts and accessories to retail dealers across the United States and globally, today unveiled a self-canceling turn signal with turn sensor technology under its RHOX brand. With the automotive-style design, it’s the golf car market’s only wholesale turn signal that cancels itself after turn completion or a prolonged period without a turn.
Engineered for a universal fit, the new RHOX self-canceling
turn signal offers plug-and-play convenience with RHOX light kits. In addition, it works with most other turn signal light kits without modification. The RHOX self-canceling turn signal is available from retail golf car dealers and distributors that carry Red Hawk and RHOX parts and accessories.
Unlike automobiles, conventional golf car turn signals must be manually clicked off. A turn signal can quickly drain a golf car’s battery if accidentally left on. The RHOX device has a sensor
that immediately cancels the signal after turn completion. In addition, it enables a safer driving environment by canceling after an extended period on a straightaway, reducing pedestrians’ and other drivers’ confusion over a forgotten, flashing turn signal.
“This is just the latest in our commitment to provide innovative products and accessories to dealers and golf car owners,” said Duffey Pitzer, senior director of new product development at Red Hawk. “Previously, dealers
might add a horn or beeper to remind the driver the turn signal was on. No one liked the noise, but it was better than a dead battery. With the RHOX self-canceling turn signal, that’s not an issue. And the boost to safety is evident, especially in golf, resort, seaside, and active retirement communities with
large numbers of golf cars.
“RHOX’s plug-and-play design gives dealers a quick upfit option to bring new functionality to customers’ existing vehicles and to their pre-owned inventory. It’s also an easy DIY install for consumers,” Pitzer said. “Simple and smart.”

Crews are progressing in building a new gateway to Redwood National Park in Humboldt County.
Work has just wrapped up for the year at the site of an old timber mill near the town of Orick. Operations will pick up again next spring, and the site is expected to
open to the public in 2026.
Jessica Carter, director of parks and public engagement for the Save the Redwoods League, which owns the land, and project manager for the work at the Orick Mill site, said visitors will enjoy a host of new features.
“They will see a completely restored landscape, about a mile of new trails,” Carter outlined.
“There will be a visitor plaza with interpretive exhibits, and there will be gathering areas.”
The area sits on Native American ancestral lands, so the Yurok Tribe Construction Corporation is doing much of the restoration work. The nonprofit Cal Trout is also involved, restoring just under a mile of Prairie Creek and its flood
plain, essential to the broader watershed as breeding grounds for salmon and steelhead.
Carter noted the Orick Timber Mill operated from 1960 to 2009 and was demolished twelve years ago.
“We inherited 20 acres of abandoned asphalt and concrete,” Carter recounted. “There were some old housing sites, a grazing pasture, and a very degraded section of Prairie Creek with failing stream banks, a disconnected flood plain, and a whole lot of invasive vegetation.”
Other partners in the restoration project include the California State Coastal Conservancy, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Restoration Center, the Wildlife Conservation Board, and the Ocean Protection Council.

Fasten your garter belt and time warp again with The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
When this cinematic sensation first sashayed onto the screen, moviegoers were treated to a gender-bending horror story/ romantic musical comedy. It remains one of the cinema’s most enduring cult classics.
Based on the musical
by Richard O’Brien (who also played Riff Raff and cowrote the screenplay with Jim Sharman, who directed). The film follows a newly engaged young couple, Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), through the most unforgettable night of their lives.
After their car gets a flat tire during a torrential rainstorm, Brad and Janet walk to a creepy castle, hoping to phone
for help. But things take a turn for the outrageous when they meet the master of the castle – transvestite inventor Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry, recreating his stage role).
Not only is the “doctor” hosting an entourage of aliens, but he has also brought a spectacularly muscular man (Peter Hinwood) to life. As Brad and Janet engage in some unexpected debauchery
in Frank’s castle, they also witness shocking crimes!
Also starring Meatloaf, Patricia Quinn, Little Nell, Jonathan Adams, and Charles Gray, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a hilarious, campy romp filled with song-and-dance numbers – and enough horror to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you from start to finish.
It’s most important to find times for reflection and contemplation because there’s such an onrush of activity, ideas and ideals flowing here, there, everywhere in this season. There’s a desire to travel, discovering new realities important to your well-being. Without pausing a bit, they will be missed. It’s also good to review what’s of value while observing what’s occurring in the world. A question - how are you aiding in building the new society and what do you envision for the future?
You continue to tend to the care and well-being of others. Sometimes you remember to care for yourself. You must remember that you are a valuable resource. If you are not tended to well enough, you cannot be a resource for others. Ideas and visions for the new era and what’s needed continue to appear. Their manifestation into form has been elusive. There is an esoteric equation for manifestation. We see the need, we call in the needed resources, we imagine the outflow of abundant resources. It’s an Aquarian triangle (and art) with Uranus at the center.
It’s most important to reflect upon what your relationships are based upon. Include all relationships, but begin with your most intimate one(s). Consider what’s taken for granted, what’s understood and not understood, and what allows you to be most truthful. Is there talk about moving, relocating and rethinking
ASTROLOGICALresources? A new path comes forth and a new message within the relationship. Listen with patience, perseverance, poise and serenity. Poise allows creation to unfold.
Your idea of a schedule quickly dissipates and you find yourself with no routines, plans or the ability to take control of daily events. Anything you’ve thought of doing simply melts into states of chaos seeking the next level of harmony. However, the harmony’s not manifesting for a while. The best thing to do is to read, study and in between prepare nourishing foods for others. They will receive it as manna (goodness) from the heavens. You are that.
The past year has been rather serious for many, especially you - restructuring and disciplining us in confronting the past and bringing forth new ways of thinking. This new moon with its Sagittarius fire calls you to a new study, possible journeys, to recreation, children, pleasure, creativity, games, fun, enjoyment and being with like-minded others. Is there a wound that has come into your awareness, a sadness, a loss? Do you need to communicate about it so the veils of sorrow can drop away? I will listen.
Family and parents, the foundations of your life, your childhood, beliefs learned while young and carried into the present time will be on your mind for the purpose of appraising, cleansing, clearing, and eliminating
all that is no longer useful. Be aware that moodiness, brooding, and perhaps intense feelings will arise. Let them be your friends. Contemplate and evaluate these with intelligence, patience and careful observation. There’s a brilliance in them, like a jewel to be polished at the center of a lotus.
It’s good to be in touch with siblings, communicating with them, sharing news, family gossip, hopes, wishes, dreams, plans and ideals. Do all things with family that makes everyone feel empowered. Do not allow anything (ideas, sorrows, pain, unforgiveness, misunderstandings, etc.) from the past to obscure your connections. Allow nothing to be misconstrued. Communicate with the intention to make contact, which releases Love. Your family loves you with all their hearts and Souls.
There’s an opportunity now, not wanting to waste a moment of life’s energy or time, to redefine yourself, your selfidentity and purpose. You’re able to change your mind about who you (think you) are and how you see yourself. Be aware that your presence is very impactful to many others around you. Issues and decisions you thought were concluded reappear for reevaluation and reassessment. New rhythms, tempos and patterns are appearing. Just let the music play. It’s magic. This is Jupiter in Pisces stationing in your heart.
of humanity. Assess your life’s journey. When traveling, follow the rules of the road. For safety and direction. Whatever is happening in your physical world is where you need to be.
The entire world’s in a state of reorientation, a condition you know well, for you experience reorientation continually. The entire world is in a Scorpio state of transformation, testing, of dying and regenerating, so that the new era can come forth. Your importance in this great shift is the fact that your knowledge, dedications, curiosities and research abilities become the core information source for humanity and the new culture and civilization. What are your present tasks? What are you using your resources for? Are you happy?
Kelly: A neighbor bought a condo and rents it out, but has not paid ANY HOA fees for over two years! When she is contacted about the past due fees, she says she will pay them when she wants. The management company says there is nothing that can be done except to lien her property. My guess is she is upside down on the property and just bleeding it as long as she can for the rent money. This means the rest of us owners are having to pay for her portion of fees. Is there really nothing else that can be done? P.L., Cathedral City
Dear P.L.: Although one of
the board’s basic obligations is to make sure everyone pays their share of the HOA’s expenses, sometimes a homeowner will strategically refuse to pay. When there is little equity, a homeowner will stop paying mortgage and assessments, figuring there is no consequence to using the property until the bank finally forecloses and wipes out the HOA’s lien. It can be a very frustrating and unfair situation. In those cases, judicial foreclosure – filing a lawsuit to foreclose AND collect on the past due assessments – may shake them out of their stall game. Yes, it involves attorney fees, but a court judgment will follow that owner even after they lose the property to the bank, and the fees normally would also be added
to the debt. Talk to your HOA attorney about the options and costs. Thanks, Kelly
Dear Mr. Richardson: Our tract has a street which is within the geographic boundary of our HOA but these homeowners have never had to pay dues and nobody seems to know why. We asked our manager and even they don’t know why. So, our question is this: Why aren’t those homeowners required to pay HOA dues? Thank-you, RY, Laguna Hills.
Dear R.Y.: The obligation to pay assessments comes from the CC&Rs. Has someone checked to see if the CC&Rs were recorded on the properties on that street? Sometimes a particular group of homes are deliberately or accidentally
You may feel you’re waiting in the wings for new realities to appear. It’s like planning a winter garden –arugula, kales, mustards, onions, wintergreens, thyme, oregano, parsley – envisioning spring for the first green shoots to appear. Everything on inner levels is being restructured. You feel this but it hasn’t manifested in your outer world. Everything is in right timing. Be as reclusive as needed to allow the roots and flowers and blooms of a new reality to anchor, grow, become strong, later to reshape your life with a new sort of beauty.
In the weeks and months to come you discover your true friends, what groups support your endeavors and whom you can turn to for nurturance, needs and simple friendship. So many of humanity are mis-informed. Become a researcher (not a reactor) so you can provide humanity with true information. Then you become part of the education
There have been thoughts on teaching, presenting the self to the public, writing, perhaps a small book or two. Perhaps a publishing company of the new art, charts, games. It’s good to think of new endeavors, considering them without making final decisions. Acknowledgements and recognitions come forth unexpectedly. Careful of miscommunication to and with the public. Tend to previous tasks and continue to work with focused consistency. New tasks will appear. The Hierarchy looks on offering guidance and impressions.

excluded by the developer because the CC&Rs were not recorded on that group of homes. CC&Rs only bind the properties upon which they were recorded. A real estate or HOA attorney should be able to help you conclusively answer the question. Best regards, Kelly
Hello Kelly: Is it possible to create and enforce a reimbursement contract for a homeowner who owes a large assessment on his/her account? This homeowner caused damage to their home, the HOA incurred costs and is seeking reimbursement. The HOA proposed a payment plan; however, we would like to make sure that this payment plan isn’t rescinded or voided with a future board (this will take years to pay off). Is this an acceptable practice? A.O., Irvine
Dear A.O.: If you are referencing a reimbursement
assessment because a homeowner damaged the common area, hopefully, your HOA followed the process of Civil Code Section 5855 regarding that reimbursement claim. Check with your HOA attorney, but the HOA can most likely enter into a written agreement as to how and when the homeowner will repay the assessment. That agreement might be prepared so it can be recorded against the homeowner’s property, in case they sell the home. Best, Kelly

Creating trendy ensembles when you just want to stay warm can be challenging, but this season’s hottest looks make it easy to keep cozy while dressing up or down. So whether you’re aiming for style for a holiday celebration or planning an evening out to shop and take in the holiday lights, this season’s trends have you covered.
Stylish layers and updates to winter wardrobe staples are keys to nailing this season’s on-trend looks. According to acclaimed American fashion designer Brandon Maxwell, who is collaborating with Walmart as creative director for Free Assembly and Scoop, the retailer’s exclusive, elevated fashion brands.
“Like many people across the country who live in a small town, Walmart was the destination for everything where I grew up, including holiday fashion,” Maxwell said. “When I first teamed up with Walmart, I was excited to bring the joy of fashion to people across the country. Everyone
deserves to enjoy their holidays in clothing they love. This year, we are proud to offer the biggest trends in holiday fashion, from cozy outwear to glamorous party looks.”
Maxwell offers these tips for creating the perfect affordable look, no matter where your plans take you this winter:
Metallic Shine: Metallic sweater sets, like a boxy crewneck and matching mini skirt in a glitzy gold shade, are must-haves for the holidays. Wear the show-stopping set with matching gold earrings and platform sandals for a head-turning party look.
Layers of Style: Layer festive multicolor patterns in intarsia knits like this Free Assembly fair isle sweater with a plaid puffer jacket for an easy update to winter closet staples like lightly distressed jeans and booties.
Party Perfect: Sophisticated outerwear pieces like a doublebreasted coat add a modern touch to classic holiday party looks. Pair with a berry-hued mini dress, black tights, and black boots for a look that
stands out. For a bit of edge, choose a faux moto jacket layered over a sequin cami top or metallic sweater to complement a faux leather skirt.
Casual Comfort: This season, menswear is all about intentional layering and looks that prioritize comfort and style. Update vintage-inspired flannels by layering with a quilted puffer
pullover and matching them with wintry prints and cargo joggers for a look that’s casual and put together all at once.
Little Lookers: Fashionable little ones can also get decked out this season. Colorful sparkly girl’s dresses from Scoop perfectly complement matching versions for women, ideal for family photos and mommy-and-
me moments that make the extra season special. Likewise, fair isle sweater dresses in fun shades like lavender for a casual event can make a classic look oh-so-now.

New York - A tiny new man, a giant step for mankind! UN estimates that the world population crossed the eight billion mark on Tuesday.
Baby Damian from the Dominican Republic could be number 8 000 000 000. He was chosen as the first registered baby born in the Dominican Republic on November 15, 2022, symbolically to represent the country’s contribution to the world population of eight billion UN Secretary-General António Guterres spoke of a “milestone”. The birth of the eight billionths human being is an occasion to “celebrate
diversity and progress while considering humanity’s shared responsibility for the planet,” he said.
Since 1950, the number of people worldwide has more than tripled.
The UN attributes this growth to improvements in health care, nutrition, personal hygiene, and advances in medicine. However, population growth also poses enormous challenges for the poorest countries with exceptionally high birth rates.
After a peak in the early 1960s, population growth has slowed down significantly, according to the UN, and an end to the increase is
therefore in sight in a few decades. While the world population grew at an annual rate of 2.1 percent between 1962 and 1965, growth in 2000 fell to less than one percent. Moreover, due to
the declining birth rate, the growth rate could fall to around 0.5 percent by 2050, according to UN estimates.
And this is how it could go on: Considering the increasing life expectancy
and the number of women of childbearing age, the UN predicts growth to 8.5 billion in 2030, to 9.7 billion in 2050, and a peak of around 10.4 billion around that year 2080.
We’re in a drought. We all need to reduce our water use by 15 percent. That’s about 12 gallons per person per day.
It’s easier than you think. Water your yard during non-daylight hours. More water will reach the roots, less water will evaporate, and you’ll save water.
That is not entirely true because a lot does happen, but central to the action is where it all takes place: the hotel itself.
Before corporate chain hotels and Airbnb took much of the romance out of travel, there were real-life grand hotels in cities like London, Paris, and Rome, and happily, many remain. One such is The Lanesborough. This iconic hotel, part of the renowned Oetker Collection, which includes Eden Rock-St Barths and Brenners ParkHotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, anchors Hyde Park Corner in the very heart of London. I spoke with award-winning travel writer Anthony Grant about his recent stay there and what made it so special.
What was that like?
This is a spacious and bright Regency-style suite with superb views of the park in two directions. There’s a separate sitting area and a marble bathroom. When I arrived, some delicious sweet treats were awaiting me in the sitting area, including a delicious tea cake with berries. That was really nice. The following morning I could watch a moving ceremony for Britain’s Remembrance Day right outside the window. It took place just in front of Wellington Arch. Later on, I walked some more in the direction of nearby Buckingham Palace.
It sounds like an ideal location.
time to try it! But I did have breakfast in the place where they serve it, the Lanesborough Grill. This is a super elegant space in the hotel’s courtyard and a natural oasis of calm in the busy city: high ceilings, chandeliers, potted palms… fancy, but still very relaxed. So for my breakfast, I enjoyed a perfect plate of French toast with bacon done to perfection and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The restaurant even offered me a selection of British newspapers.
A cocktail is served at the Library Bar.
There are fewer better windows into the soul of a city than a great hotel. In the 1932 movie Grand Hotel, a diverse cast of characters played by
Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, and John and Lionel Barrymore cross paths in a made-forHollywood European hotel with “people coming, going” but where “nothing ever happens.”
After my excellent flight on Aegean Airlines from Athens, I took the Heathrow Express train directly to Paddington Station. From there, I could have taken a London cab to the hotel, but it was so lovely and sunny that I decided to walk across Hyde Park. The Lanesborough is ideally located and very easy to find. I received a warm welcome, and the check-in process was unhurried. I stayed in the Hyde Park Corner Suite.
It truly is. A quick left turn outside the entrance puts you in the heart of Knightsbridge, home of the famous department stores Harvey Nichols and Harrods. You can walk down Sloane Street, lined with elegant shops, from there, then continue through the Belgravia neighborhood. Popular areas like Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden are fairly close by.
I read about the hotel’s tea service. It is quite well-known, isn’t it?
Yes, although I didn’t have
Actually, I would recommend it to everybody. There are a variety of room sizes and styles, all luxurious. Mine was pretty large. The rooms on the fourth floor were smaller but cozy, ideal for traveling to London on business. The hotel has a great health club, spa, and a very atmospheric bar on the ground floor, the Library Bar. So you can tune in to whatever vibe you’re looking for. But above all, you get a real London sense of place here, and the hotel staff could not be friendlier. The only problem is that my stay was too short! Some local colleges and universities in Southern California are turning to data analytics to streamline their programs, so students can quickly transfer from two- to four-year schools.
The Transfer GPS software is being used at two community colleges. Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga and San Bernardino Valley College help students who want to transfer to Cal State San Bernardino and not lose credit for the coursework they’ve already done.
Carlos Ayala, president and CEO of the nonprofit Growing Inland Achievement said Transfer GPS helps schools troubleshoot.
“You’re able to visualize where students are ‘stopping out of particular programs,” Ayala pointed out. “And so then, faculty can make adjustments so that it’s easier for students to flow
through the program.”
The program is funded by the College Futures Foundation and is a collaboration between the John N. Gardner Institute, Growing Inland Achievement, and the three schools. In addition, growing Inland Achievement released a study on why students drop out. The top four reasons include financial struggles, confusing pathways to success, lack of mental health and social support, and fear of academic failure.
Robert Rundquist, dean of institutional effectiveness at Chaffey College, said the Transfer GPS program tries to pave a student’s pathway to success by promoting an integrated four-year plan instead of a “two-plus-two-year” model.
“We’ve just never had that lens to be able to see both the pathway design and the actual student course-taking
behavior to better understand what’s happening along these journeys,” Rundquist explained. “Not just in theory, but also in practice.”
A 2017 federal Government Accountability Office study found that more than a third of college students transferred
schools over five years. Ayala added he hopes to expand the Transfer GPS program to many more schools in the next few years.

Can you tell me what your arrival in London was like?
This facility will be open to the local children’s hockey teams. Watching these men skate was incredible. White and darkshirted teams worked from one end of the rink to the other.
Goaltenders taking turns as they practice getting the puck into the net. The coaches were there to let them know what they needed to do. Work on plays and which play would be next. They gathered during rest periods to hear him speak.
I spoke with the head coach, Dan Bylsma, who said the Team was so excited to play here in Dec. They had to play 22 games before their first home game. They are a great team with over 7 wins so far. Dan said he hoped they sold out the Arena for the games. He is proud of the Team and the way they are coming together. They still had 12 games to play before they could at their home
arena. While in the Desert for Practice, they have time to get acquainted with our Valley by playing a little golf and even going up the tram. They said it’s beginning to feel like home and love it here.
I spoke with one of the goaltenders, Joey Daccord. I asked him one of the questions everyone wanted to know. “How do you get past the fear of the puck coming at you. He said never, but you learn to deal with it. I also asked him if he ever gets hurt with all the padding protecting him.
He said that sometimes if it comes from a less padded area, it can hurt. He said he had a small bruise on his shoulder, and even the padding sometimes is not enough to stop hurting a bit. I asked him why he chose to be a goaltender, and he said his father was an NHL Pro Goal Tender, and it was a family thing. Pride showed
in his voice when he spoke about his father. I found out his younger brother Alex is also a hockey goal tender at college.
I also spoke to the Acrisure Chef, David Harvie. He is responsible for all the vendors and foods in the Acrisure Arena
and is part of the Oak View Group. He is also responsible for feeding the Team. The whole Valley is getting impatient to see the first concerts and hockey games. Anticipation is high to see the new Acrisure Arena, which is at the top of
the list for many. The Arena seats 11,000 people. Many have bought season tickets already. Top name Concert tickets are up for sale so people attending can see their favorite artists and groups.
Acrisure Arena, the newest 11,000-capacity world-class venue in Southern California scheduled to open with Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle on December 14, has officially sold out of over 900 club seats for its inaugural year through 2025. Acrisure Arena Premium Members will enjoy their private “member only” spaces, wider and more spacious seating, and VIP parking/entrance for all events. This announcement comes on the heels of several concert, comedy, and family shows sales, demonstrating the diverse and high-quality talent the arena will draw to the Coachella Valley.
To accommodate many fans who are still looking for access to great concert seats in addition to hockey, Acrisure Arena has created the concert access program. Currently, on sale, this program offers the closest seats to the concert stage in an endstage configuration. This seating location allows priority access to purchase the best tickets to all concerts, family shows,
and sporting events at Acrisure Arena before they go on sale.
Acrisure Arena will be the first of its kind in the greater Palm Springs area. Annually, Acrisure Arena will attract over one million visitors bringing year-round entertainment to the region and hosting sports, music, and family events. With 16 announced events for the grand opening celebration, Acrisure Arena is on track to bring over 100+ highvalue events to the market for the first time. In addition, new shows or sales are announced regularly.

You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may be a junior lien. If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for pay ing off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on the property.

The best way to verify postponement information is to attend the scheduled sale.
NOTICE TO TENANT: Effective January 1, 2021, you may have a right to purchase this property after the trustee auction pursuant to Section 2924m of the California Civil Code. If you are an “eligible tenant buyer,” you can purchase the property if you match the last and highest bid placed at the trustee auction. According to a new survey, the world’s wildlife populations are dwindling, which encourages urgent action to reverse the loss.
Dr. Rebecca Shaw, the chief global scientist for the World Wildlife Fund, said populations declined an average of 68% between 1970 and 2018. Last week, Alaska canceled the upcoming winter snow-crab season in the Bering Sea for the first time after reporting the population had declined by 80% in four years. Shaw noted the decline is likely due in part to stress caused by warming waters.
“The snow crab is a great example of exactly what we’re talking about here,” Shaw said. “When they disappear -- we don’t know why -but it has a lot to do with the pressure we put on the environment through climate change, habitat destruction, pollution, and so on.”
Shaw pointed out that wildlife populations are dwindling due to land-
use changes driven by human activity, such as infrastructure development, energy production, and deforestation. However, climate change could become the leading cause of biodiversity loss if the temperature rise is not checked.
To make a personal difference, Shaw suggested people need to think consciously about where their food comes from, only buy what they need, and eat what they purchase.
“We waste 40% of all the food we produce and harvest,” Shaw said. “If we’re wasting all that food, we’re putting pressure on the planet for no benefit whatsoever.”
Shaw encouraged food choices that do not overharvest a particular fish if it is not sustainable and avoid products contributing to deforestation. She stressed that to reduce pressure on wildlife populations, changes must be made to how society produces and consumes energy and food.
“If you eat animal protein, you’ve got to know it has an outsize impact,” Shaw said. “It doesn’t mean you give up animal protein and the hamburgers you love; it just means that you choose plant
protein once or twice a week instead of animal protein. Really good for you and really good for the health of the planet.”
Based on the 50-year-old Living Planet Index, the report is released every two years
by the World Wildlife Fund. It shows Latin America and the Caribbean saw a whopping 94% average wildlife population loss, Africa saw a 66% decline, and North America experienced only a 20% drop.
managing your blood pressure can help reduce your chances of life-threatening medical events, even death.
Gain confidence and learn how to take control of your blood pressure with these tips and resources from the American Heart Association.
High blood pressure is often referred to as the “silent killer” because it typically has few, if any, noticeable symptoms but can lead to heart attack, stroke, heart failure and even death. Many people with high blood pressure don’t even know they have it. Some overlooked symptoms can include dizziness, facial flushing and blood spots in the eyes.
The only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to regularly take an accurate blood pressure measurement. Understanding your results is key to controlling high blood pressure. Blood pressure numbers of less than 120/80 mm Hg are usually considered within the normal range, yet it is important to talk to a doctor about your healthy range. Even if you fall within a healthy range, it can be beneficial to stick with heart-healthy habits like following a balanced diet and getting regular exercise. Consider these numbers and ranges to know if it’s necessary to take action:
n Elevated blood pressure is when readings consistently range from 120-129 mm Hg systolic (the upper number) and less than 80 mm Hg diastolic (the lower number). People with elevated blood pressure are likely to develop high blood pressure unless steps are taken to control the condition.
n Hypertension stage 1 is when blood pressure consistently ranges from 130-139 mm Hg systolic or 80-89 mm Hg diastolic. At this stage, doctors are likely to prescribe lifestyle changes and may consider adding blood pressure medication based on your risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, such as heart attack or stroke.
n Hypertension stage 2 is when blood pressure consistently ranges at 140/90 mm Hg or higher. At this stage, doctors are likely to prescribe a combination of blood pressure medications and lifestyle changes.
n A hypertensive crisis requires medical attention. If your blood pressure readings suddenly exceed 180/120 mm Hg, wait 5 minutes then test again. If your readings are still unusually high, contact your doctor immediately. Seek emergency help if your blood pressure is higher than 180/120 mm Hg and you are experiencing signs of possible organ damage such as chest pain, shortness of breath, back pain, numbness or weakness, change in vision or difficulty speaking.
While many risk factors for high blood pressure may be related to your age, gender and family history, there are also risk factors you can change to help prevent and manage high blood pressure. People at added risk may be those who engage in lower levels of physical activity, eat a diet high in sodium (particularly from packaged, processed foods), may be overweight or obese, drink excessive amounts of alcohol and may have multiple chronic conditions.
Whether you’re making changes in your own life to combat high blood pressure or helping someone else, positive feelings and confidence are longer-term motivators to making health changes. If you’re talking with friends, loved ones or your doctor, be prepared to ask open-ended questions. Be curious and kind to yourself and others you may be helping.
You can reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, heart failure and even death with lifestyle changes and medication.
Watching your weight, especially if you are overweight or obese, can bring health gains; losing as little as 5-10 pounds may help lower your blood pressure. Managing your stress by relaxing for short periods during your workday, at night and on weekends is another productive practice.
If you have diabetes, it’s important to work with a doctor to manage the disease and reduce your blood glucose levels.
If you think you could have sleep apnea, getting screened for and treating the condition can also reduce your risk for developing high blood pressure.
When you have high blood pressure, medication may be an important part of your treatment. Follow the recommendations carefully, even if it means taking medication every day for the rest of your life.
When you’re discussing high blood pressure concerns with your health care provider, also be sure to talk to your doctor about over-the-counter pain relievers that may raise your blood pressure. Talking with your doctor can help you identify over-the-counter pain medications that won’t raise your blood pressure to ensure you’re not creating a blood pressure problem while treating other concerns.
Think about what challenges you face in controlling your blood pressure that you need to share with your doctor to create a plan that works for you. Start by considering the answers to these questions to discuss with your health care provider:
n How often do you check your blood pressure?
n Do you keep a log of your blood pressure measurements?
n Are you taking medications as prescribed?
n What are some things you can do to have less salt in your diet?
n What are some reasons it can be hard to manage your blood pressure?
