Once-in- a-lifetime concert, the eights wonder of the World; rocking with six of the world’s most iconic and influential rock and roll artists. Story by Pat Krause The first night of Desert Trip on Oct. 14 brought out its first Noble Prize winner to the stage. I think this is probably the first concert by BOB DYLAN as a Nobel Prize winner for Literature. It was announced just days before his performance on the second weekend of Desert Trip. He is the first songwriter

to receive this accolade. I am not familiar with most of BOB Dylan’s songs. His gravely low voice was more about speaking his lyrics than signing them. He stood beside the piano playing during a lot of his songs. He took the mic and just stood there singing his songs, but I didn’t see him sit down once and was told he played the same

By Desert Star Staff If ‘killer clowns’ aren’t enough to scare you this Halloween, Airbnb is hosting a competition to spend a night in Bran Castle, the Transylvanian setting which inspired ‘Dracula’. The lucky winners will be welcomed to the Romanian castle by Dacre Stoker, the great grand-nephew of the novel’s author Bram Stoker, who promises to utter the Count’s famous words “Welcome to my house! He sings, his voice will go high and then follow by going, deep down, at the end, and he does this with most of his songs. I heard that there were more attendees on the second weekend of Desert Trip and was closer to

85,000 people each night. The Rolling Stones got the crowd in more of a rock and roll feeling as the music was more upbeat tempo and of course louder. The acoustics are amazing as you can hear each band and singer from anywhere on the grounds fans watched the HUGE TV screen that looked like it spanned a football field long. Fans at the

back of the area could see the show, as there were two more massive TV screens so no one would miss out on seeing their favorite performer. The ROLLING STONES got everyone on their feet. Fans were seen dancing in the aisle to the music. It’s an amazing vision to watch thousands of Continues on Page 10
