Inaugural Australian Sikh for Excellence in Sydney

First national platform to recognise and celebrate Australian Sikhs who excel and contribute to the socio-economic development of Australia

In an Australian first, the Australian Sikh Awards for Excellence (ASAE) were held on 17 June 2023 amongst dignitaries, business professionals and community organisations at the ShangriLa Hotel in Sydney. Over 300 guests attended the event to recognise and celebrate the many achievements of the finalists and winners.

The Hon Michelle Rowland MP, Minister for Communications and Member for Greenway said she felt privileged to see and hear of the achievements of the 24 finalists who were chosen from over 280 nominations from across the country. “The finalists have selflessly put service for the community before self and through this made a positive difference to the people around them,” Rowland said.
