confirmed for STREETS OF COLOUR

After being blamed for the death of his best friend in a racist street fight, Tez (Rahel Romahn), a 25-year-old drug dealer with cultural identity issues, loses custody of his son that he has never met. Battling a drug addiction and coming to terms with losing his best friend, he will need to find a way to battle his inner demons and reclaim his life before he loses his son forever.

Streets of Colour stars Rahel Romahn, who earlier this year appeared opposite Michael Sheen in the acclaimed revival of Amadeus at the Sydney Opera House. He will also be seen in David Michod’s forthcoming feature Wizards! with Pete Davidson and Orlando Bloom. In Streets of Colour, Romahn stars alongside an ensemble cast of talented actors including Veronica Cloherty and Simon Elrahi, in this film that explores the complexities of race, self-identity and spirituality.

The world premiere of Streets of Colour at the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace was a glittering affair, with cast and crew walking the red carpet. “This is a momentous occasion for us,” said Director Ronnie S. Riskalla. “We poured our hearts and souls into making Streets of Colour, and to see it resonate with an audience of this size, is incredibly gratifying. We aimed to create a film that would challenge and inspire, and I believe we have achieved that goal.”

Screen Inc’s Dov Kornits comments “It was very special to see Streets of Colour on the big screen at the Orpheum this week. There is a lot of passion behind this project, and we’re looking forward to sharing the film with audiences across Australia.”
