Timeless Wisdom – Hindu Scriptures Conference 2023 Adelaide,

The very first BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute in the Asia Pacific region was inaugurated and launched on 24th July 2022 at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Sydney, Australia and thereafter across various other centres in Australia by Mahamahopadhya Bhadreshdas Swami.

The special evening assembly titled “Timeless Wisdom – Hindu Scriptures” Conference by BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute Australia was held at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Green Fields, South Australia on Sunday 09th July 2023. The assembly addressed a gathering of over 1000 guests, 68 eminent leaders and learned delegates from around 27 community organisations.

The assembly began with the Lightening of the Lamp followed by Vedic Rituals symbolising the pursuit of knowledge, harmony and enlightenment performed by Pujya Param Chintan Swami and panel of delegates.

Mr. Snehal Thakar, Dr. Gaurang Prajapati, Mr. Kinjal Bhatt, and Mr. Dilip Chirmuley were amongst the speakers on the panel who spoke eloquently about religious harmony & provided valuable insights on various Hindu scriptures like the Shri Ramcharitmanas, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, and Upanishads. Children from age 5 and above recited the Sanskrit shlokas and the Upanishad verses.

Pujya Param Chintan Swami also drew attention of the learned delegates towards the timeless wisdom of the Hindus Scriptures including “Satsang Diksha” that promotes equality and Sanatan Dharma. He also called for a more universal definition of ‘dharma’ and unpacked several universal dharmic values like love, friendship, respect, peace & compassion.

The event concluded with inspiring talks from the speakers providing valuable insights of the Hindu Scriptures and its relevance in modern times to the audiences and the launch of a new course in English ‘Introduction to Hinduism’. For further
