had never experienced Vaisakhi celebrations before, this event was particularly special for me. Vaisakhi is celebrated by so many cultures across South Asia (and the wider world), and, to me, this Vaisakhi event showcased that breadth and multicultural harmony perfectly. Indeed, the performances represented so many different parts of the South Asia and were as educational as they were entertaining. I felt so fortunate to have been able to be part of it and cannot wait to see more events that celebrate an important cultural event but also symbolically showcase how vibrant and strong our multicultural community is here out West!”

Clr Saha mentioned that he started celebrating Vaisakhi with family and friends in the Cumberland Council area, which was the first in its kind, COVID stopped it, but he is glad that it is back again. It was the third year of his Vaisakhi celebration.
