By: Harmohan Walia

Gandhi Peace Centre Australia organised Gandhi Jayanti with the help of Clr. Sameer Pandey, Dy Lord Mayor, Parramatta and the Indian Consulate office, Sydney on 2nd October 2022 at Jubilee Park, Parramatta. Prayers and religious songs were sung and Mahatma was remembered. Mr Manish Gupta, Consulate General of India, Sydney and Clr. Sameer Pandey wished everyone on the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, whose teachings will always be relevant. Mahatma promoted the culture of non-violence, tolerance and peace.A culture, which is inclusive, a culture where the weakest in our communities are looked after and no one is left behind. The 2nd of October will always be celebrated internationally as on 2007, United Nations General Assembly declared this day as the International Day of Non-Violence. Little India Harris Park Business Association served refreshments in the end.
