Εντυπωσιακή ήταν, όπως κάθε χρονιά, η Παγκόσμια Παρουσίαση Υψηλής Ωρολογοποιίας (WPHH), που έγινε στον 1.400τ.μ. εκθεσιακό χώρο της Watchland – το αρχηγείο της Franck Muller στη Γενεύη. Φέτος, οι επισκέπτες είχαμε την ευκαιρία να εκτιμήσουμε τις καινούργιες Grandes Complications του οίκου, με τα νέα μοντέλα της σειράς Vanguard να κερδίζουν την προσοχή. Ανάμεσα στα ρολόγια που ξεχωρίσαμε ήταν τα νέα Vanguard Gravity, τα οποία εξελίσσουν τον sporty χαρακτήρα ενός μοντέλου που συζητήθηκε πολύ χάρη στο επικών διαστάσεων ελλειπτικό tourbillon του (21,2x7,7mm) με το έκκεντρο τύμπανο του οποίου η διάμετρος αγγίζει τα 14mm. Πλέον, η χαρακτηριστική κάσα Curvex κατασκευάζεται από τιτάνιο, ατσάλι ή χρυσό 18Κ, η γέφυρα του tourbillon έρχεται σε ποικιλία χρωμάτων, ενώ το λουράκι από rubber ολοκληρώνεται με διάφορα φινιρίσματα, όπως νάιλον και δέρμα αλιγάτορα. Εξαιρετικά δυναμικό είναι και το νέο Vanguard Tourbillon Skeleton, οι skeleton γέφυρες του οποίου, γυαλισμένες στην εντέλεια, αναδεικνύουν την αντισυμβατική αρχιτεκτονική του manufactured μηχανισμού που το εξοπλίζει. Πάντα σε σχήμα Curvex, η κάσα με το ενσωματωμένο λουράκι κατασκευάζεται από τιτάνιο, ανθρακονήματα, ατσάλι ή χρυσό 18Κ. I mpressive as always, the World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH), took place at the 1,400sq.m. salon of Watchland - the legendary Franck Muller headquarters in Geneva. This year, visitors had the opportunity to assess the house’s new Grandes Complications, with all eyes turning to the latest models of the Vanguard collection. Among the models that stood out was the new Vanguard Gravity, evolving the sporty character of a “center of discussion” piece, thanks to its elliptical tourbillon of epic proportions (21.2x7.7mm) with an eccentric balance whose diameter reached an immense 14mm. The distinctive Curvex case is made of titanium, steel or 18K gold, the tourbillon bridge comes in a variety of colors, while the rubber strap comes with an assortment of finishes, such as nylon and alligator leather. The new Vanguard Tourbillon Skeleton is also exceptionally dynamic, with its skeletonized bridges, polished to perfection, emphasizing in the most imaginative way the unconventional architecture of the manufactured movement equipping it. Μένοντας στην κατηγορία των complications, η συλλογή καλωσορίζει φέτος το Vanguard Grande Date, το οποίο συνδυάζει τον χρονογράφο με τη μεγάλη ημερομηνία στο 7:30. Το ρολόι είναι εξοπλισμένο με αυτόματο μηχανισμό ο οποίος προσφέρει power reserve 46 ωρών, με τα πιο ενδιαφέροντα στοιχεία του να κλέβουν την παράσταση στο skeleton καντράν. Διατίθεται με κάσα από τιτάνιο, ατσάλι, ροζ χρυσό 18Κ και ανθρακονήματα και συνοδεύεται από λουράκια που συνδυάζουν το δέρμα με το rubber ή το rubber με το νάιλον. Λιγότερο περίπλοκο αλλά οπωσδήποτε high-tech είναι το Vanguard Carbon Crypton, η άκρως θεαματική συνέχεια του Vanguard Crypton που λανσαρίστηκε πέρυσι. Το φετινό είναι ένα ρολόι κατασκευασμένο από ανθρακονήματα με ενσωματωμένα μόρια φωσφορίζοντος υλικού που τη νύχτα το μεταμορφώνουν σε ένα αληθινά φουτουριστικό κομμάτι. Ο αυτόματος μηχανισμός που το εξοπλίζει προσφέρει power reserve 42 ωρών, ενώ το σύνολο ολοκληρώνεται με λουράκι από rubber και νάιλον. Άξιο αναφοράς είναι και το νέο Backswing, το οποίο απευθύνεται στους λάτρεις του γκολφ. Τόσο η κάσα όσο και το καντράν του είναι διακοσμημένα με μοτίβο που παραπέμπει στο μπαλάκι του γκολφ, ενώ διαθέτει μετρητή swings στον χαρακτηριστικό συνδυασμό πορτοκαλί-πράσινο, τον οποίο ο χρήστης ρυθμίζει με τη βοήθεια των μπουτόν «score» και «reset» στην αριστερή πλευρά της κάσας. Σημαντικό είναι ότι το Backswing προσφέρει υψηλή αντοχή στα χτυπήματα χάρη σε έναν δακτύλιο από σιλικόνη που απορροφά όλων των ειδών τους κραδασμούς. Διατίθεται με κάσα από τιτάνιο ή ατσάλι και ολοκληρώνεται με λουράκι από rubber και δέρμα διακοσμημένο με σταμπωτό μοτίβο εμπνευσμένο από το μπαλάκι του γκολφ.

It is available with a case made of titanium, steel, 18K pink gold and carbon fiber and comes with straps that combine leather and rubber or rubber and nylon. Less complicated but definitely high-tech, the Vanguard Carbon Crypton was the highly spectacular sequel to the Vanguard Crypton launched last year. This year’s model is made of carbon fiber with embedded luminova particles which at night transform it into a truly futuristic timepiece. The automatic movement equipping it offers a power reserve of 42 hours while the set is completed with a rubber and nylon strap.

Also worth mentioning is the new Backswing, a model aimed at golf enthusiasts. Both its case and dial are decorated with a motif reminiscent of golf balls, while it also has a swing counter in a distinctive orange-green combination, which the user can adjust with the help of the “score” and “reset” buttons set on the left side the case. Most importantly, the Backswing offers high shock resistance thanks to a silicone ring that absorbs all kinds of vibrations. It is available with a titanium or steel case and outfitted with a rubber and leather strap adorned with a stamped golf ball pattern.
