“Just had to drop you a note to congratulate you on the LAPD HQ. When the construction fencing came down Tuesday, a giant hurrah went up from the Higgins Building! We and others in the neighborhood have since been testing out the space: circling, going barefoot in the grass, walking kids and dogs, enjoying the plantings. The building seems to play nicely with its surroundings -- lots of nice views -- and the walkway across the face of the triangle helps make the entire building feel more inviting and less imposing. That was a tall order for a police headquarters! Thank you for respecting our position during the debate over the choice of the site. And thank you very very much for creating a building that feels like it is integrated into the neighborhood. As we say in my family: You did good! neighboring resident
