The Nanying Hotel Renovation is a dramatic transformation of an existing 166-room government hostel into a boutique hotel. The scope of work includes a renovation and addition to the ground floor, a renovation to the exterior skin and a concept design for the hotel rooms. The program for the ground floor includes a lobby and renovation to the bar and restaurant. Inspired by the beauty of Shanghai’s famous sycamore canopy, the hotel bar artfully incorporates fiber optics and graphics to provide individuals with an elegant and intimate connection with the city.
