The impact on the health of people and environment of the methods of production and the products that are used for building, furnishing and living is examined.
VOC Volatile Organic Compounds
VOC The VOC Directive, devised by the European Parlament and the Council of Europe, defi nes the directive limiting emissions for certain pollution causing volatile organic compounds, called VOCs. All WoodCare Denmark products meet the new VOC Directives for 2007 and 2010.

The migration of metals (As, Hg, Se, Cr, Sb, Cd, Pb, Ba) of the sample was tested according EN 71 Part 3 1995. There was no evidence for migration of the named metals above the limit of detection (1050 ppm). All products for the interiors are correspondingly suitable for toys.
DIN 53160 The tests were conducted according to method B 82.10 of the offi cial compilation of testing procedures according to § 35 LMBG (adoption of the German Norm DIN 53 160). According to the results of the tests the testing strip did not show any noticeable staining on the different coatings of the wood. Thus the coatings of the wood are saliva- and sweat-resistant.
DS/EN ISO 9001 and DS/EN ISO 14001 WoodCare Denmark is certifi ed according to the following standards: ISO 9001: 2000 – the international standard for quality control; and ISO 14001:2004 – the international standard for environmental management. The quality- and environmental management systems ensure, that sales, supply, product development and production are conducted according to defi ned procedures and instructions known by all members of staff. ISO 9001
ensures that the defi ned quality of procedures and products is guaranteed – and therefore the products feature uniform quality. ISO 14001 takes into account all aspects concerning the environment. This applies to chosing raw materials, the internal environement, but also the handling of waste. Furthermore, new targets for the improvement of quality and environment are set permanently.
