Welcome to the Designer Guide to Kitchen & Bathroom Specification 2018. It is part of a series of annual guides designed to help designers, architects, and other specifiers find the right products for their residential projects.

It can be a bewildering challenge identifying the best options for every project, not least since the range of choices in so many product categories is growing all the time. Perhaps the biggest trap to fall in to is specifying just the products you already know – understandable if the product is tried and trusted of course, but at the same time it can risk missing out on key new products that could make all the difference for your client.

Ultimately, everyone working in K&B design needs to be absolutely sure that they are selecting the right options for their clients’ needs – and that’s where this guide comes in. The ERA sink range, from premium Swiss brand KWC, combines purist design with precision craftsmanship.

Available in three sizes, the sinks sit flush with any worksurface material, discreetly marked out by its polished, high gloss 4.5mm ultra-thin rim. This design detail is echoed on the edges of the tap and waste controls.

Other subtle features include the bevelled square waste cover and invisible ghost overflow, which

automatically drains water away if the sink is in danger of overfilling.

Touches of premium teak on the strainer bowl and chopping board add further to the aesthetics. A range of four ERA taps complement the sinks and include the Gravity, with a distinctive arcshaped spout designed to allow water to elegantly cascade into the sink bowl.
