Spartanbug County Parks Department

EGGtober

What began as a way to use plastic eggs leftover from cancelled Easter events in 2020 due to COVID, has turned into a new favorite fall tradition. Each year, our staff members divide into teams of two called “Boo Crews” and we hide 6,000 black and orange eggs filled with stickers, toys and candy in front yards all across Spartanburg County. Families purchase the eggs ahead of time, limit five dozen per household. We put a sign in the yards, letting the children know we’ve been to their house and the hunting can begin!
