Assessor Signature Date Student Signature Date Authenticity – It is vital to your development as learners and designers that you are responsible for and produce your own work. You are expected to adhere to certain professional standards such as referencing your primary and secondary research and imagery that you use within your work. You could use a bibliography at the end of your assignment or credit the work as you produce it by identifying the website, book, journal, magazine, blog etc where you found the information/image. Plagiarism – is serious, it is not acceptable to use other peopleʼs work and try to pass it off as your own. The college uses a system called TURNITIN to check. Itʼs a simple process where we run your file through and it will identify how much is copied and where its from. Ignorance isnʼt an excuse and we are far more interested in your own thoughts and opinions anyway

Assessment criteria See student handbook for further guidance. You must however achieve all the pass criteria on a relevant unit to move on to merits grades and likewise with merits to achieve distinction grades. All units are available in the course section of the VLE and will not be provided at every briefing. You will be expected to submit your work on the designated day. Your work should be uploaded to your folder on M drive in an appropriate format ie. InDesign file and PDF of back up work, JPEGS, PDFs and the original files of final pieces. Please note: As designers it is essential that your work is grammatically correct with no spelling errors. There are several methods for assisting with this: Spell Check – All the software we use have UK spell check facilities that you should get familiar with Copy Reading – After you have finished your assignment allow time to read back through it and amend any errors Buddy Up – swap with a peer and read each others work, not only will you help them but you may learn something new as well.
