—Angelos Angelopoulos was born in Greece. He has been working as an interior designer since 1989. At the age of 24, in 1990 he designed his first boutique hotel ANDROMEDA ATHENS, which was among the few boutique hotels in Europe at that time. Since 1999 he has designed the interiors of more than 40 hotels, most of which were boutique hotels. Among his projects one can find residences, condominiums, apartments, restaurants, clubs, show rooms, commercial buildings, office buildings etc. He lives and works in Athens and he has done various projects all over Greece, as well as in Cyprus, in Turkey, in the United States of America in Manhattan and lately in Florida. He designs exteriors, interiors, gardens as well as furniture and decorative objects.

The Jury of 2005 Hospitality Awards following the rules established by the Chairman of the Advisory board and its members have distinguished Mykonos Theoxenia hotel as finalist in the category Best Innovative concept in hotel lodging. The above award was given in recognition of the most original concept/incorporating technical innovation, quality of service, design anddecoration. Angelos Angelopoulos is repeatedly chosen and is included, among some of the leading designers of the world, in ANDREW MARTIN INTERIOR DESIGN REVIEW (2005, 2006,2007,2008, 2009,2010, 2011), which is considered, by the international press, as the bible of the interior Design. For someone to be included in this edition is equivalent to win an Oscar nominee for Interior Design. In 2010 Taschen, which is the most important publication for the design world as they feature interior design, architecture and life style, included one of his projects in INTERIORS NOW VOL.1, and also chose it for the cover of the book.

— Division Architects is an architectural practice established in 2010 by combining two different perspectives. Having built up a varied portfolio, covering wide scales and types such as: Casino in Syros (Casino Aigaio AE), Leto Gynecology & Surgical clinic (Hygeia Group) and several branches of National Bank of Greece, Vasilis Grigoriadis (civil engineer) starts his collaboration with George Venetsanos (architect) focusing on the design and construction of a series of private projects. Having a common academic background, Nikos Kouzoupis (architect) and Constantinos Orestis Despotis (3D Visualisations Expert), George Venetsanos’ fellow students at the University of Kent Canterbury School of Architecture, joined the team forming Division Architects.

Each project is primarily treated as a pretext for creation and dialogue, causing “divisions”, generating solutions that combine and serve its programmatic content. Thus, a building is divided into blocks, forms, spaces, elements, uses, is deconstructed and eventually reunited, combining all the individual components to end up with a single result of solid and compact architecture. So Division as in disintegration, deconstruction, differentiation, all concepts which enclose within genesis through intense and conflicting actions that lead to creation. —The office gfra architecture was founded in 2004 by Tasos Gousis, Joost Frijda and Eddie Roberts as a result of many years of cooperation in previous associations where they participated with the major Greek projects of the previous decade. Such as projects for the Olympic Games, the new Athens airport and the Acropolis Museum competition. Joost Frijda is Dutch and has received his degree from the Delft University of Technology, while both Tasos Gousis and Eddie Roberts, who has a Welsh background, are graduates from the NTUA (Athens Polytechnic). Fotini Anagnostou becomes part of the team in 2007. In 2008 Nota Tsalta joins and supplements the team with the experience she gained at prominent architecture offices. The multinational background of the team makes them search for new ideas and forms in architecture, to give a ‘European’

spirit to their design. This has been recognized by the numerous publications and participations in exhibitions such as the biennale of Young Greek Architects and the international Piranesi exhibition. At the same time they have a realistic approach and through close cooperation with the client and the consulting engineers, aim of the office is to maintain the quality of design and technology of architecture to a maximum. The many specializations of the office include: housing, hotels, education, offices, cinema/ theatre, retail, interior design, public urban/green spaces, reuse/restoration etc. Many projects are situated in the Athens region, but work is done all over Greece and abroad. Project responsibility includes both design and supervision, and can lead from the initial concept, through obtaining the building permit, to the possibility to organize the complete construction process.

K&K Architects was established in 2000 by Katerina Kotzia and Korina Filoxenidou. The studio deals with a variety of projects that range from exhibition design and commercial spaces to private residential projects. Projects also include participations in competitions and research programmes on urban strategies and the integration of architecture and landscape. The studio focuses on the creation of spaces that combine a strong and clear identity with an experiential nature that encourages interaction and involvement. In 2006 k&k architects designed and co-curated (with E. Constantopoulos and L. Papadopoulos) the Greek Participation in the 10th Biennale of Architecture in Venice entitled The Dispersed Urbanity of the Aegean Archipelago. In 2006 they curated and designed the first Architecture

Biennale of Thessaloniki, entitled: Architecture and the City In Southeast Europe. Projects have been published in architectural magazines and catalogues. Their work in exhibition design and architectural competitions has received numerous distinctions. Katerina Kotzia and Korina Filoxenidou were trained as architects at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1997) and they have both attended the postgraduate course MA Design Studies at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design (2000) as recipients of the Onassis Institute Scholarships. In 2000 they founded the architectural office k&k architects in Thessaloniki and in 2009 also in Athens. TAN is woven since 2004 by Tilemachos Andrianopoulos and Kostas Mavros as a network of collaborators and works of architecture as well. The practice’s work includes several awarded residences as well as first prize competition proposals –among them a 5000m2 Town Hall in Crete and the rehabilitation of the Venetian Arsenali and their wider surrounding space in the port of Herakleon. Public space and private housing are constantly researched in their work; the two fields are purposely interconnected. Residence in Kifissia was awarded a special mention by the Hellenic Association of Architects and

their latest residence in Sikamino was nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, Mies Van der Rohe Award 2013 and is included in the exhibition shortlist. The meaning of the abbreviation TAN, root of the greek verb ‘ΤΑΝ-ΥΩ’ -to stretch, tend, distend- is unconditionally surrendered to Albert Camus: ‘…immoderation is a comfort, sometimes a career... —The firm “Yiannis Vikelas & Associate Architects” was founded in 1960. It was later renamed to “I. & A. Vikelas & Associate Architects”, when Alexios Vikelas joined the firm in 2000. The firm has dealt with almost every subject in architecture, from interior design and private houses, to urban developments and large scale projects, such as airports, parks, museums and hotel resorts. Recently, in collaboration with the offices of Elias and Konstantinos Skroubelos – under the joint company METRON Ltd. – and MEAS Ltd. Partner Architects, the firm designed a major Olympic project, the Olympic Sailing Center. The architectural office “VOIS architects” was founded in Athens in 2006, by Katerina Vordoni and Fania Sinaniotou and is constituted by a team of young architects. The team was brought together in 2005 and is since located in two studios, in the Greek cities of Athens and Heraklio, Crete. —Attali began her photographic career in 1993 as a landscape and archeology photographer. For over ten years she photographed extensively excavation sites and archeological findings specializing in the documentation of ancient painting in under earth tombs with the use of UV and IR radiation. During this period, Attali worked in various museums in Greece, Turkey, Italy, France and UK. Her corps of archeological work includes thousands of photographs, produced for scientific documentation and archaeological publications. In parallel with her past work as an archeology photographer, she photographed landscapes in different parts of the world. Her pictures have been published and exhibited internationally. Since 2003 she has been an Adjunct Professor of Architectural Photography at the Department

of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, NY and she has also worked as a visiting professor in several Universities such The Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen, Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo, The Catholic University in Santiago de Chile, Architectural Association in London amongst others. Her work has been supported by prestigious institutions, such as Fulbright, Japan Foundation, Graham Foundation, Dreyer’s Foundation, Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen, Danish Arts Council, culminating to numerous exhibitions and publications. During the past 14 years, Attali has been preoccupied primarily with architectural photography, both as a profession and as a fine-art photographer using architecture. Her architectural work expands from Europe to Americas and Asia where she under-

takes professional commissions to document newly-constructed buildings of notable architectural quality. —Louisa Nikolaidou is an architectural and interiors photographer. She has studied Mathematics (BSc) and Information Systems (MSc) in the UK. — Vangelis Paterakis was born and brought up in Piraeus, Greece. From the very beginning of his professional path he became a close collaborator of big advertising companies, editorial houses and magazines. At an early date his photographs began getting published in numerous Greek magazines, including several covers. On the international front his work also began appearing in various printouts abroad such as the Wallpaper, the Architectural Digest, the Andrew Martin-Interior Design Review, Taschen, J.J magazine and many others. Vangelis’ photographs have also been figuring in the pages and covers of books of both Greek and Foreign publications. These books range from architectural guides to decoration as well as cook books. Vangelis’ main professional activity revolves around photo shoots of hotel spaces in Greece, on the mainland as well as on the islands. Some of his clients are, Hiltons Hotels, Aman Resort, Sofitel.... Nonetheless, Vangelis also extends his portfolio to photo shoots of Food and Travel. In the same way that Van-

gelis’ travels to Cuba and Japan became his source of inspiration and reason for his first personal painting in photography exhibition titled “Virtual World” in November 2006, the familiar images of people in motion portrayed in photographs taken then led him to his first personal photograph exhibition entitled “Shadows” in May 2008. Besides his two personal exhibitions, in July 2007 Vangelis also participated in an ensemble exhibition on the island of Paros, purely focused on painting this time. Also, his work on images of foods entitled “fork D-tales” was presented at the Sani Resort hotel in Chalkidiki, Greece at the Annual Gastronomy Festival of May 2008 and recently, in December 2008, he was chosen among several Greek photographers to participate in the exhibition “Spira” organized by Flocafe S.A Greece. — Kalos&Klio (Christos Κalos, Klio Tantalidou) are two artists who work together as a collaborative duo. The pair lives and works in Thessaloniki, Greece. —157+173 designers is a design studio run by Babis Papanikolaou and Christina Tsirangelou. They have set their own studio in Thessaloniki in the autumn of 2009. They design and manufacture products, of peculiar aesthetic and quality and they constantly aim to experiment with a variety of forms, materials and construction solutions. Ideas are tested, re-designed and therefore developed into real objects, by using the local light industry, as means of production, while the items are treated with the care of a handmade object during montaging.

Their work, has been presented so far, through a long catalogue of national and international newspapers, magazines and design issues, as well as in educational institutes. Babis papanikolaou was born in 1980, in Thessaloniki. He has studied arts + architecture at University of Greenwich in London, from where he graduated in 2005. Coming back to his home town, Thessaloniki, he gathered practical experience working in small scale and big scale architectural offices. At the same time, he is involved with music synthesis and video. Christina tsirangelou was born in 1981, in Thessaloniki. She has studied architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from where she graduated in 2007. Working as a partner to various well known architectural offices, both during her studies and after her graduation, she has been involved in the process of synthesis and construction. At the same time, she is dealing with modeling of prototype or work in progress building ideas.

Their products are seen as simple and useful, yet designed with a smart way, to be compatible with a contemporary view, and be accessible to the modern era public. These are, both mass produced -upon order- objects, as well as limited or special one-off copies. They mainly participate with their work, in commercial and promotional design events, both in Greece and around Europe. — Alessandro Zambelli was born in Mantua in 1974. He earned his school-leaving and diploma in technical studies and in 1998 he specialized in “Industrial Design and Technique of Materials” at the Cova Foundation of Milan. In 1999 he began his professional activity, collaborating with Dada Cucine and Agape, assuming the role of consultant for the search of new materials and product development. In 2002 he established his own studio: “Alessandro Zambelli Industrial Design”, and soon began to distinguish himself within the ambit of design, with industrial companies in various commod-

ity sectors. He participated in shows in Europe, in the United States and Japan and realized many commercial exhibits and spaces. In 2011 he win the European award of design: European Consumers Choice, with Palace and in the 2012 NYIGF Award with School Joke Chair. His creative personality has intersected innovation and reflection, revealing ties with his origins. He seeks the dialogue between the essence and the irony in every project.

— I was born in Athens in April 1983 and grew up in a middle class neighborhood of the city. Even though during my school years I was not much into studying, since my interests rather focused on music and other creative activities, I succeeded in graduating from a technical school with a Graphic Design orientation. Following the directions given by some of my teachers, I followed the Industrial Design courses of Technological Institute of Kozani were I gained engineering background and fell in love with Design. By the end of my studies I moved to Thessaloniki, Greece, in search for new professional and personal experiences. During the first six years of my stay I was employed by various companies; from furniture to urban equipment and from playground toys to metal constructions and dental equipment. During my employment I also worked on personal projects with my main

focus concentrating on furniture and gadget design. The first international recognition of my work came through the international Industrial bench design competition Athens Benchmark. By winning the first prize I not only had the opportunity to produce a small quantity of benches and have them installed in the center of Athens, but also to promote myself in the Greek press. Apart from that, I have also been included in articles by some international Industrial Design blogs and magazines, the most important of which was the annual Design and Design book. Recently I moved from Thessaloniki to Utrecht, Netherlands, making, for one more time, a brand new start, aiming at new employment opportunities, studies, and interaction with interesting people 1983年4月我出生于雅典并在其中的一个中产阶级小区中长大。尽管在我的学生时代，我并不十分专注于我的学业，因

Was a scholar of FABRICA (Benetton Group) and iNova Worksop (Poltrona Frau Group). Worked for several years as Senior Art director in BBDO and

Syrtariotis Konstantinos is a Greek - Italian architect and designer. Kostas was born in Greece in 1972, where he lives until the maturity diploma at the Highschool of N. ERITHREA (Athens). Soon after he enrolled in the School of Art ìPlakasî in Athens. His interest in art and design led him in 1993 in Venice, Italy, a city linked to the maternal part of his family, to study architecture at IUAV, while working as a freelance designer. In 2003 graduates the professional ability exam and then immediately start his profession. His work is the result of an entirely personal view: often starting from the prototype to reach executive

drawings and, finally, presentation graphics. His projects have a common essence, functionality, great respect for the human being and itís feelings and often a hint of irony. — He was born in 1974, in Thessaloniki, Greece. He studied ‘Visual & Live Art’ in Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education, England, from 1995 to 1998. He’s working in his own studio in Thessaloniki since 2000. Functional and decorative stoneware ceramics are his main production, until now. During the last decade, he showed his work in five solo

exhibitions in Greece, while he participated in many group exhibitions, projects and symposiums around Greece and other European countries. At the same time he taught ceramics in different Art Schools in northern Greece, and through seminars in major museums of Thessaloniki. In 2010 he established an experimental ceramics studio in the region of Imathia, Greece.

Georgios Zografou was born in 1980 in Aachen, Germany. As a greek, grown up in Germany, studied in the Netherlands and worked in South Korea, he is a multicultural and multilingual person. After his high school graduation and his graduation as a Graphic/ Packaging Designer, he decided to apply for a Productdesign study at the ABK Maastricht,

Netherlands. During his study he created a range of furniture and other products. The main aspects of his work are form, function, organic form giving and simplicity. He tries to avoid decorative and unnecessary elements within his design. His aim is to apply form and function on each component of his products. Georgios Zografou 于1980年生于德国亚琛。作为一名生长在德国的希腊

人，同时在荷兰学习及在韩国工作的经历背景，让他拥有了多元文化背景，且掌握了多国语言。自高中毕业及作为一名平面/包装设计师毕业后，他决定申请攻读荷兰马斯特里赫 ABK 大学的产品设计专业。在其学习期间，他创造设计了一系列家具及其他产品。其作品的突出特点是注重形式、功能、有机形式呈现及简洁性的整体融合。他会尽力剔除其设计中修饰性、不必要的多余成分。他的设计目标是要将形式与功能融合应用到其产品设计的每一部分。

After working for his own digital design agency during his studies, for Toyota’s Advanced Technology Dept. and having serviced various clients in different industries. He started his first company in China in 2005, and quickly that resulted in the first international award winning (Dutch) product design company in South China. After, working for the Netherlands Minstry of Foreign Affairs on the Creative Industry in China he realised that the power for innovation in China has endless potentials. During his project for the World Bank in Cambodia in 2010 he planned a new strategy for design in China. As consultant for private and government design organisations he observed the various potentials and creative improvements that would benefit both China and designers. His strenght have always been starting up new enterprises, initiating new strategies and new inniatives. Bringing his back ground as: Industrial product design engineer (BSc.), Product Innovation Manager (MSc.) his courses at Sun Yat Sen Univerity MBA program, and his functions as strategist for companies and organisations in branding and technology assessments, he created a new perspective towards various organisations, including his own design company. Having met Mr Vassilios in 2011 both realised together they cover most aspects required for a good design agency and insight required to understand design, achitecture and fashion for the Asian markets.
