DESIGN RESEARCH EVENT MARCH 16TH 2011
INTERNATIONAL AND DANISH PERSPECTIVES
FRONTIERS IN DESIGN RESEARCH Design research is in a state of major transitions – and expansion. In Denmark this is marked by the international assessment exercise in 2010 creating a leverage for further expansion and international orientation of Danish design research. But what are the international frontiers emerging and future alleys to be created for Danish design research? We have invited leading international scholars in design research to present perspectives for the international frontiers in design research they expect us to witness in the years to come.
Based on these perspectives Danish Centre for Design Research and Kolding School of Design jointly invite the Danish design research community to contribute to the conversation on the frontiers seen for Danish design research. Based on short inspirational key notes by esteemed international scholars, participants are invited to join a thematic workshops aiming to create visions of frontiers in Danish design research. The day is summarized in a panel conversation on the nexus of international and Danish frontier envisaged.
