What is the Giro? On Sunday, 11 May 200 of the world’s top cyclists will duel it out over 187 km for Stage 3 of the Giro d’Italia. Chasing one prize. The coveted Pink Jersey. These titans of two wheels will do battle through the streets of
Dundalk, Drogheda, Malahide and Dublin
before they race to the finish line in Dublin’s Merrion Square. With a huge crowd expected to line the route, enjoy the thrills of a close finish and all the festivities, don’t miss your chance to be part of one of the world’s greatest sporting events.

The Route Sunday 11 May Armagh - Dublin 187km On Sunday, 11 May, Ireland will host the third and final stage of the Grande Partenza (The Big Start) before the race returns to Italy. Starting in Armagh at 11.45hrs, it then travels south towards Dundalk, Drogheda, Malahide before finishing up in Dublin’s Merrion Square at approximately 16.30hrs. A publicity caravan consisting of 50–80 promotional vehicles will travel along the route, approximately 90 minutes ahead of the race entourage and riders distributing free merchandise. Up to 300,000 potential spectators will line the route. With an audience capacity of 55,000 for final 3km.
