7 SUPERINTENDENT I. C . EVANS M r. I. C . Evans has been superintendent of th e Burkburnett Independent School D istrict since 1957. D uring those th ree years, h e has ta c k le d m any v aried problem s w ith e n ­ thusiasm , and has w orked hard to establish a m ore e fficien t and co m p lete school system . Before b ecom ing superintendent, Mr. Evans was p rin c i­ pal of H ardin Grade School for sixteen years.

B uM docj . T he Burkburnett High School Band, under th e d ire c ­ tio n of Mr. Jam es C . W ickersham , has ag ain th is year proved its e lf to be one of th e m ost outstanding o rg a n iz a ­ tions in BHS and also one of th e highest ra te d bands for its size in th e state. Consisting of appro x im ately 80 m em bers, th e band won sweepstakes trophy at th e T -O Fair and first p la c e in m arching and in inspection a t th e UIL contest. Each year th e Bulldog Band has a num ber o f students who m ake A ll-R egion and A ll-S ta te . T hese students, along w ith th e other m em bers of th e band, should be congratulated for th e ir outstanding record.
