First Peoples at Melbourne Museum Melbourne Museum’s First Peoples at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, is the largest exhibition to focus on the story of Aboriginal Victoria from the times of creation to today.

TRANSPORT IN MELBOURNE The easiest way to get from your ship at Station Pier to the city centre is by tram using a myki card. myki is Melbourne’s ticket to travel on the city’s trains, trams and buses.

Melbourne’s E-Class Tram

Follow these easy steps for a quick tram ride to the centre of Melbourne. 1. Purchase a myki Visitor Value Pack (full fare $14) from the PTV Pop Up Hub located in the upper level foyer of the international terminal. 2. Board the Route 109 to Box Hill tram at the stop at the end of the pier. 3. Touch your myki on one of the green myki readers on board the tram to ensure you have a valid ticket. Route 109 travels through Port Melbourne past the Crown Entertainment Complex. It crosses the Yarra River before turning right into Collins Street to take you into the heart of the city.

Returning to Station Pier To return to Station Pier just board any west bound Route 109 tram to Port Melbourne at tram stops along Collins Street. Passengers in wheelchairs or who have access issues can board the tram easily at the end of the pier as well as various city locations. Free City Circle Tram The City Circle tram service provides a free and convenient way to get around central Melbourne. The burgundy and gold tram travels past major attractions and shops. See the City Map in this guide for route details. Bus 109 – City Express A one-way shuttle bus to the city centre operates between 8am and 11.30am, for most cruise ships. This service runs express from the international terminal to the Arts Centre Melbourne on St Kilda Road. To board the bus, you must pre-purchase a myki from the PTV Pop Up Hub.

Lavandula, Daylesford Phillip Island 1½-2 hours from Melbourne Phillip Island is famed for seeing Australian wildlife in its natural habitat. It is home to a colony of little penguins that make their way from the sea up Summerland Beach to their burrows every day at dusk. Australia’s largest colony of fur seals, koalas and a large population of mutton birds and migratory water birds also live on the island. Ideally your ship will be staying overnight or depart late at night to allow you to witness the penguin parade at dusk.

Mornington Peninsula 1-2 hours from Melbourne The Mornington Peninsula is dotted with historic seaside villages. Visit stylish Sorrento, take a stroll along the picturesque harbor of Mornington and stop at the charming nineteenth century fishing hamlet of Flinders.
