Was it really just 12 years ago since the infamous Montreal Screwjob? For some reason, it seems like just yesterday. Maybe thats because the fans (especially in Canada) have never let it go. To this day, in some arena's, Sean Michaels and referee Earl Hebner can't show their faces without hearing the chant of "You screwed Bret." But here we are now in 2010, and some of that past is being put to rest. Bret was inducted into the hall of fame, and now his father will be there soon. And one would hope in the future, Owen will also join them. Bret shook hands with his arch enemy and called for a truce. But then there is Vince. We all know there was real tension between Bret and Vince for a very long time. I'm sure even now there is still a little bit of it left. But for the sake of the fans, a mere handshake just won't do. These two have to fight it out. And what better place to do that, than at Wrestlemania. This past Monday on Raw, we saw that Bret's "broken leg" was all just a set up, and the trap was sprung on the Chairman of the board. This of course was probably a surprise to nobody, but it was still a great moment to see Vince get clobbered with the cast. So now that the truth is out, and the stage is set, all we can do is wait for the beating to happen. And I am quite sure, there will be blood. Like most fans out there, we all enjoy seeing Vince get whats coming to him. And this is an ass kicking that is 12 years in the making. Naturally there will be some moments where "The Boss" has the upper hand. After all, this is a no holds barred match. But in the end, it will be The Hitmans hand being raised in victory, over a bloodied and beaten McMahon. Then perhaps, we can finally put the Montreal Screwjob to rest. Then again, it would be nice to hear some "Bret screwed Vince" chants for a few years.
