In addition to our existing portfolio of CPD provision, we can also work with you to develop bespoke courses, tailored to your particular requirements using our expertise. A bespoke course gives you added flexibility in terms of design, duration, and delivery. We can deliver bespoke courses that are:

We can tailor the delivery and duration of the training to fit your organisational needs and employee availability, from a one day event to a series of short sessions delivered over several months or years.
• Delivered at the University of Bath or at your own premises
Courses can take place at our high–tech conference facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories on our campus in Bath or to minimise employee downtime, on your own premises. We can also deliver courses on-line, or via a combination of face to face teaching and e-learning.

Most of the courses we offer are accredited, which means that on successful completion individuals gain University of Bath credits and can apply to use these towards a Professional Development, or other University of Bath, award, should they wish. We also offer courses on a non-accredited basis where professionals can attend purely for the acquisition of specific skills and knowledge, without any formal assessment.

We have courses which are designed specifically for CPD students, as well as units from existing undergraduate and postgraduate University programmes which can be made available for an external audience.
Awards We now offer a range of Professional Development awards which enable professionals to gain an academic qualification for their continuing professional development. The awards are designed to be flexible and to allow individuals to negotiate their own programme of study according to their specific professional development needs. Individuals can select their choice of units from across departmental and subject boundaries, enabling them to work towards a University of Bath qualification which is relevant to their professional context. Students can work towards one of the following awards:
• Certificate of Higher Education in Professional Development • Foundation Degree/Diploma of Higher Education in Professional Development • BA/BSc Honours Degree in Professional Development • Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Development • Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Development • Masters (MA/MSc) in Professional Development Alternatively students who have successfully completed a continuing professional development course can apply to use the credits gained to join a specific University of Bath award programme.
