SWK-008 HORSE STABLE As part of Wakai concept, “Remake of a Classic�, Wakai is constructing one of the components of a legendary sport, the Equestrian. A horse stable is where trainers nurture their horse, where some grew up to be great champions of the world. To commemorate the history and share their prodigious journeys, Wakai introduced some of the greatest horses in history, the story of their lives that made them legends throughout time, are hung on the walls to enhance the ambience of the store. Wakai opened its flagship store in: Pondok Indah Mall 2, Jakarta
Inspired by the American Vintage Bar, set in the era of the Gold Rush, around the early 19th century, this store resembles the surroundings of an Old Western Saloon. Plenty use of wooden fixtures and in-store finishes reflects the style of the Old West, the hanging rifled guns signifies the ways of life of the kinds of people that used to walk into a saloon. It is a suitable place for every type of individuals to drop by and enjoy the store ambience, where all the customers can be exposed to various exciting experiences, as the saloons used to serve many kinds of customers such as cowboys, soldiers, miners, gamblers, and all the women from the folksy mistresses to the posh ladies.

Inspired by the accelerated traffic of delivery business, Wakai dedicated this concept to portray the fast-moving commotion inside Wakai Warehouse. With the neatly organized stocks of various items arranged on the front shelf, and the all-time replenished powerwall, this store is ideal for active customers demand. This 80 squaremeters shop conveys the message of delivering and sharing the cheers which has always been the spirit of Wakai. Although the major concept of the layout and design is rustic and industrialized, it highlights the main theme of simplicity and organized structures which runs in all Wakai stores.

SWK-013 barber shop Wakai drew the inspiration from retro barbershop, a place where one can get in style as well as get social. Barbershop has always been a place where local stories are told and current trend is shared. During the golden age of barbershops in 1880’s to 1940’s, men from all ages and backgrounds visited barbershop as a weekly habit to fraternize with friends. Wakai took this age-old tradition and translate it into a warm and welcoming shop, where every customer is enveloped in a familiar ambience.

Situated in a 74 meter square, the new store is decorated with plush leather barber chairs and wooden framed mirror.
